A tribe for those who are interested in discussing period or peri-oid (as close as we can come) Middle Eastern music..styles, instruments, settings, how things were done, etc.

I play ney, and know a little but would really like to learn a lot more. I am hoping to find others share info, ideas and inspiration with. If there is enough interest perhaps a small ensemble could be gathered for future Pennsics or other SCA events.

Those interested in other forms of entertainment that may have occured in the Middle Eastern in period (ie, poetry..story telling) are also welcome.
