Hi! I'm looking at the possibility of relocating to Greenville later this year and so sometime in the next month or two I'd like to come down and see what there is to see! But, since I've never been there, I need advice from cool kids in-the-know.
About me: I'm an 8-time Burner from Detroit, I have travelled and performed with a fire troupe since 2000, I've been in martial arts for 24 years, annnnd uhhh, I eat more chocolate in a day than most humans do in a month. Yep. So in Greenville I would be looking to meet people who build stuff, make stuff, dream stuff, perform stuff, etc. Please email me off-list at Teleshiva@gmail.com if you might be able to offer some guidance. Thanx!! ~ TimTv

Re: Relocating to Greenville - seeking advice
Tue, March 25, 2008 - 10:22 PMMy boyfriend just moved to Greenville, and I will be moving down at some point. I went to the Playa for the first time in 1999, am now the VA Regional Contact. Mr. Kitten makes stuff, builds stuff, we both dream stuff, and I perform stuff. so it's safe to say we're just your kind. We can offer you some southern hospitality, and at least a couple of burner types in the area. - it's probably best to email me as I always forget to check Tribe misskittenmeows@yahoo.com
meow,
Miss Kitten (or Tina)

Re: Relocating to Greenville - seeking advice
Mon, March 31, 2008 - 1:33 PMI grew up in G'ville, and I'll just say that it has really gotten cool there, over the years. Once they ripped out the big awful bridge over the Reedy River, it justblossomed into this startlingly progressive and nice place to be. Downtown is truly great. The Civic Chorale is actually thoroughly enjoyable, the symphony orchestra is worth a damn, and the library is no bullshit.
It's pretty there. I bet you'll like it. I live about 2 hrs away. Let's burn it! -

Re: Relocating to Greenville - seeking advice
Mon, March 31, 2008 - 5:18 PMI don't know any burners in Greenville yet,
but there are bunches in Asheville NC (about an hour north of Greenville), and a small performance troup in Columbia (about 100 minutes south east of Greenville), and a bunch in Atlanta (about 110 minutes west of Greenville).
There are lots of belly dancers there too.
