Howdy ho'...
Well, the damn holidays are coming back around again and I'm looking to cut back on holiday spending.
What kind of scrappin' ideas have you had or do you have for xmas gifts....what's your thought process on the creation of a "personalized" scrapbook OTHER THAN the childhood memory stuff...I only ask because there are a couple of people on my list that I really haven't established a history with.....do you create MINI scrapbooks for these types of gifts???
Someone made a scrapbook BOOK for my little one, it's an 'ALL AROUND THE WORLD' book and it's pretty cool--she took embelishments that she found that fit the "theme" and made a story out of it.
Any ideas floatin' around now that it's MID-OCTOBER???? I know, scary huh?? This year went so fast!!!!

Re: holiday scrappin'
Mon, October 9, 2006 - 12:05 PMI have been making journals. You take a composition book that you can get from Walmart for .99 cents and decorate the front of it. They have really taken off here. Im getting ready to mail out two that I sold. Not sure if thats what you are looking for but its just a thought.

Re: holiday scrappin'
Sun, September 2, 2007 - 11:34 AMI was at Red Lobster recently and you know how they put your drinks on those chipboard style coasters?? Well I asked the server if I could have a stack of them. I covered the coasters with Holiday papers and decorated both sides to be ready to accept photos. I then put a title on the cover of Holiday Memories. I punched holes in the upper corners of each coaster then tied them together with a fancy ribbon and some fibers. I left room on each page for pictures and journaling. I added the embellishments and gave them to the more distant family members so that they could complete them as their own mini Holiday albums.
Hope that gives you an inexpensive holiday gift idea!
