Subjects?

Hi there, ya'll. Was wondering...are all of you moms? I'm not, and though I've been "managing" to scrapbook for a year, one of these days I fear I'll run out of ideas. I've been trying to gather examples of subjects that aren't kid related, but it's not so easy! When you peruse the magazines and stores, it's pretty obvious that scrapbooking is really aimed at family matters. NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT!!! I mean, once I do have a family (fingers crossed) I'll be going nutso, believe me. But anyway, I'm wondering about the various subjects of your pages....Thanks!

What are your interests? I'm going to do some stuff with bellydancing cause that's what I love to do. You can do other things....like do pages of your favorite things, or trips you've taken. I'm thinking of doing a subject on my past birthdays with a pic from each year. You'll find some good subjects....make a list of what you like to do, your interests, places you've been :)

Though what got me personally started in scrapbooking is the whole baby thing, that's only because I was saving so much stuff in a bin and not sure what the heck to do with it all...it was nothing but chaos....that's what prompted me to take a look at scrapbooking it all.

We are starting our troupe/belly dance scrapbook soon....

There is the obvious vacation themed books....

I think it would be cool to have a current event one as well...so much goes on in this crazy ass world, it may be cool to document such things so you can look back on it when you're like 80 or something...

Also, I've known people with either movie actor/actress or musician obsessions that they've scrapbooked that kind of stuff...you know, pictures, movie tix, concert tix...blah blah blah. I had one of Drew Barrymore years and years ago, finally let that go!!! LOL

Other subjects....hmmmm, may be reaching but there is seasonal stuff, holiday stuff...ooooh, what about a school memory one. You could get all your old goofy school pics together, report cards etc etc and blush your way thru one!!!

      hmmmm....what else????

I love the current events idea...I have some papers saved up that are taking up room...I saved the paper when the Pope died. I save the paper for things like that but i never thought of using them :)

using it as a "journal" might be kinda cool...i used to keep a small 4x6 to 5x7" ish black sketch book in college(numerous ones over 4 years) and wrote, drew, glued, taped, saved, folded in and folded out, stickers, invites, ideas, recipes, phone numbers, etc. carried it around with me constantly until it filled up. i love looking back at it now. sort of goes along with the memory book idea as well.

i also collect postcards(only ones mailed/given to me) and have done a similar job storing them in scrap books.

          got any collections?

Awesome ideas! I'm currently doing a book with all of the old concert tickets I've collected (a lot of tickets), and that's kind of fun. I will be doing a belly-dancing album at some point. Great ideas about the birthdays and using it as a journal, etc. Thanks for all of the great suggestions!
