My scrapbooks are very .....unsual . I have clippings from maganizes, bar beer coasters and glitter by the barrelfuls throughout my scrapbook masterpieces. I have noticed that I don't seem to put anything in any kind of certain order. I know my stuff has to be one of a kind, but it feels right to me. My Grandkids are going to wonder if Granny was on acid when she put all this random crap together. I don't care. I still love it and enjoy it!

Re: how artistic are you?
Tue, March 6, 2007 - 11:47 PMI think that's great! I've never considered myself creative, but perhaps I've found an outlet here. I also straddle the line between scrapbooking and collage; still tryng to find my niche. I'm going to take what you are saying to heed. Sometimes I feel like I don't let go enough - too concerned with making it look "right." I may need to lay off reading the scrapbook magazines - too much influence, perhaps.... -

Re: how artistic are you?
Wed, March 7, 2007 - 6:21 PMGo Zen! Just let the glue and pages flow.......I use the same approach with my card designing as well. Scraps and bits of pieces work great! I read the mag rags, but seem to find my own twist to the cookie cutter designs . Take those ideas , then make them your own. I think something has to be truly personal to be "right." Does that make any sense?
