First off (and I know this is not the easiest), do your best not to stress out too much. It won't help you in problem-solving and people may not be open to giving you a ride if you're all stressed.

First thing to do is figure out how much stuff you have and then post to boards about finding a ride. There are ride share boards and all sorts of other opportunities. You will find them if you believe you will.

If it is meant to be (and I believe it is) you will find a ride or another way up to the burn. Everything happens for a reason. Burningman has already started. This is all part of the ever-evolving adventure. Think positive and create your solutions.

It's a bummer that this happened... but there is a bright side. If this had happened the day before you left, you would have been much more screwed. With 10 days to go, you have a strong window of opportunity to find another way. You can do it!!

I agree with Sizzle. BM tests you!!!!! Preparations, finances, stress, friendships/relationships, getting there ..... and then when you're there it's a whole new set of tests! It's like boot camp for your soul. It purges you then rebuilds you from the inside out. Listen to Sizzle! And look .... you and I may already have worked out the solution! :)
