Hoopers --
lets jam out in the parks!!! i'm thinking monday nights starting next monday i'm gunna try and get as many hoopers as possible to come jam with some music from 8-10 or something and continue to spread/share hoop love and the hoop community .... anyone else on my same groove? hoop, fire, poi.... yo yo's? lol .. whatever fuels your fire ... lets spread that passion around! what night works better for u all? or time? the sun sets at like 8 so maybe do it earlier? wed nights is hoop group @ velocity and saturdays are spin jams @ velocity and i'm going to continue hooping it up there of course (as you should too!!!), so any other night works for me! thoughts? ideas? interest?
gasworks, sculpture, cal anderson, volunteer, discovery, greenlake, the seattle center, golden gardens etc. etc. .... + hooping + hoop love + warm beautiful seattle weather .... my dream come true ;)

Mon, April 27, 2009 - 12:10 PMI'm down for hooping in any of these places. I'm not sure if you can spin fire in the Seattle parks however. I believe that you may be able to get away with it at Golden Gardens though I'm not sure about this.

From what I've seen with hoop jams in the parks around here so far, I think you're right to be considering a little earlier in the evening. And you might get better attendance if you choose one of the parks with good freeway access: Green Lake, Gasworks, and Cal Anderson are all perfect choices for regular events, and I've been particularly impressed with the number of hoopers that seem to show up at Cal Anderson on any given day. But some of the other parks you mentioned *are* spectacular, so don't let me dissuade you from a favorite if you have one.
Also, I believe Aaron is right about fire spinning in Seattle. Even Golden Gardens requires an expensive and involved permit. As I understand, if you want to spin fire in Seattle right now, your best bet is to make friends with someone that has a big backyard. :)

anybody else know any large covered outdoor structures we could hoop under if it rainnnnns?

so WOO HOO - gasworks tonight, come whenever you want! i'll be towards the water on the flat grass ..... 7pm?? Let's say 7 to 9 but kind of go with the flow ....
I'll bring my iPod speakers and iPod but if anybody else feels like doing their thing with the music I can dig that too ... see you tonight!

just checked out gasworks and the covered space is HUGE and soooo legit! just head towards the bathrooms and you will see what I mean .... show up if you can, if not then hope to hoop with you all sometime soon!
