Well, actually from the Repubs.. same thing.
My friend Drusilla posted these yesterday and they bear repeating.
1. Remember in 2002 when George W. Bush said, "When we're talking about war, we're really talking about peace" ? And we all would have choked to death if it wasn't for the modern medical miracle of the Orwellian Heimlich maneuver? Well, you're gonna need it again. Bush's Iraq strategy, "Stay the course" has been redefined. It now means, "constantly changing tactics to meet the situation on the ground." www.time.com/time/magazi...2033,00.html
2. On October 24, Bush's top general in Iraq, George Casey, said he was thinking about asking for more troops. That was just about the last thing any Republican wanted to hear with less than two weeks to go before an election. So within 24 hours, Casey was back on message with a statement in which his office said he had given the "wrong impression."

3. Darn it, the voting machines in Florida sem to have gotten themselves demonically possessed again. They've been observed flipping Democratic votes over to the Republican candidate. "Debra A. Reed voted with her boss on Wednesday ...Her vote went smoothly, but boss Gary Rudolf called her over to look at what was happening on his machine. He touched the screen for gubernatorial candidate Jim Davis, a Democrat, but the review screen repeatedly registered the Republican, Charlie Crist." Gosh, how'd that happen?

4. Dick Cheney indicated that the Bush administration doesn't regard water-boarding as torture and allows the CIA to use it. ''It's a no-brainer for me,'' Cheney said at one point in an on-camera interview.
However, White House press secretary Tony Snow has now "clarified" that that is not actually what Cheney said, even though it's very clear that that *is* what he said, and it's on tape for everyone to see. (No, it's not. Yes, it is, see, right there? Not, it's not. It just isn't. ). Doctor, doctor, I think I need another Orwellian Heimlich maneuver - stat. At one point, Tony's interviewer became incredulous, and asked, "Wait a minute, so (Dick's comment) "dunk in the water" means what, we have a pool now at Guantanamo, and they go swimming?"

Re: Flip Flops from Hell
10/31Someone responded brilliantly to her post:
"I propose finding a way of harnessing political backpedaling so that it can be used to generate electricity. "

Re: Flip Flops from Hell
04/07I am sure it was good 10 months ago when he posted the link Chris. -

Re: Flip Flops from Hell
04/08Actually it was 6 months ago but if it's from a reliable source, or he updates the link to point to the archive it will still work.
