I think the trees which make the books are far more valuable than the page. Nature has been underestimated and disrespected, well it's happening now. There's an interesting bit of synchronicity which exists due to just being human and a strange geology I continue to marvel at, the 29 synchronicity. The human skull is 29 bones(nasaexplores.com), and at the turn of the millenium America had reached 290 million souls. Mount Everest is 29, 000 feet, the moon's cycle 29 days. These facts coupled with what I call My Head, the east coast of New England... it remains a mystery. What intrigues me is synchronicity, especially within linguistics. I often think back to the dawn of language, to the dawn of English, and am curious what inspired similar words like Sun and son. The solar cycle is 11 years, a fantastic number. Are you aware that Hurricane Katrina came to shore as the 11th storm on the 29th of the month? I've a fondness for Katrina, it's my sister's nickname. I'm floored by some other catastrophic coincidences, like the Bam, Iran earthquake 12/26/03, because Emeril Lagasse, the chef famous for "Bam!" is also from my hometown, Fall River, Massachusetts. And Emeril's made a new home in New Orleans, so devastated by Katrina. Doubly intriguing is the fact the Indian Ocean quake and tsunami happened the same day of the year as Bam, the day after Christmas. Actually, in North America it was Christmas when the Indian Ocean quake occurred. Books seem insignificant in the light of such kismet. Understanding linguistics is the key to understanding synchronicity. Belief in a God also helps.

I believe letters of language are precisely like genes and cells of the body. Words which share letters are alike, the letters they share bond the words. Seeing linguistics like this, for me, condenses the English language... And as I said earlier, as a community we're just not looking in the right place for truth. We need to take who we are, what we say more seriously if we're going to change the community. I have a vision, you can see some of what I see on my myspace page and blogs. It's not easy, mostly because it's lonely work right now. I'll find others.
