The Sanskrit word 'Tantra' translates to mean 'to weave and expand'. Tantric dance can be seen as a yogic dance practice that serves to bring the mind, heart, body and spirit into oneness. In tantric dance the focus is on consciously connecting with and flowing/directing the life-force energy throughout the body with conscious, organic dance movement, breathwork and sound. Through yogic breathing and focused dance movement we take powerful journeys deep within ourselves to facilitate profound holistic healing and increased well-being. Learn to energize the chakra system, clear our auras, awaken our kundalini energy, align with the rhythms of the cosmos and realize our divine essence & empowerment; awakening to the divinity within ourselves that we may become living temples for the divine to express through us. Wear comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement.
