Our dear cat Elvis passed away last night in his sleep - he was almost 18 years old.
I got him when I was right out of college and just getting started in the world. I have known him longer than my husband and most of my friends!
I am really sad about losing him, but at the same time I know it was for the best. He lived a long full life and was much loved, and now he is with his dearly departed buddy Tipper.
So drink a toast tonight in his honor!

To Elvis, may he have all the kitty toys and catnip he wants across the Rainbow Bridge.

Wed, August 1, 2007 - 8:48 PMI hate losing close ones and I think you're being stoical, sensible, and strong.
You'll miss him so much but you are right - he lived well, as are you apparently. -

Raising my cup of tea and certain showers of catnip are falling on him as he crosses over into Rainbow Bridge.
I'm sorry to hear of any loss on this forum.
But happy to have set this up so we can remember them and share experiences of our loss.
I've been thinking about my belated Rageous who would have seen his 19th b.day this month..but alas I'm currently
fostering a cat that bares a strong resemblance to him..except this one sprays when anxious. :0
Keeps me on my toes and my apt smelling clean regularly!
My thoughts are with you, how are YOU doing? ~A~
