So, these new Sepia shots are out of this world, and I'm wondering if you will include them in your web site. I looked at your web site and it was lovely in all it's brightness and color!
I was surprised to NOT see other picutres I've seen on tribe that you've done which are a bit darker and spritual...the ones that blow me away.
Is there a reason that you haven't included these? Did I not check out your site fully, and missed them?
Do you feel that the "market" couldn't handle the deeply sensual and and somewhat macabre images that we get to see on tribe. (I'm thoroughly grateful too, that you DO post them here, by the way..)
just curious..

Re: Question for Sequoia
Mon, February 27, 2006 - 9:28 AMHey Jenn,
Thanks for asking. I have just updated my website about 2 weeks ago, so most of my current work should be there. There are severel sections, and I think you may be looking for the "visionary" section. It has the darker, spiritual images your talking about.
Since I don't do my website myself, I'm not able to update it a frequent as I'd like. So I use this tribe as my way to show my newest work or projects.
Usually I post a new images within 24 hours of the photoshoot. It excites me to know that I can share my new creations with so many people, so fast!
As far as the "market", I feel that I have something for everyone. Artisticly and even commercially without loosing my creative edge. I have images digestible to the mainstream, but the is alot of the surreal, spiritual, sensual work up there that I feel displays the core of my creativity. The market is always changing, and people are always looking for the "next big thing". My strategy is to keep doing what I love and work with those who are inspiring to me, and how could I go wrong?
So that hopefully answers your questions. I do appreciate you asking. I'm glad people like you are interested.
Ask anytime, I'm very open to discussing these topics.
