I thought I'd post this here, because where else would it be appreciated?
I went for 6 mos. after my daughter was born with no sex. Part of it was time/logistics. but the real reason was that I had a super traumatic vaginal birth...my vag was NOT happy for a long time. I tried to do it, but it hurt so bad. It was like losing my virginity all over again, only 100 times worse. But finally, after much cajoling and KY, success! Anyway, that was a little bit of TMI, I know, but that's for listening.

congratulations, sexy mama! That's wonderful news! Sex was painful for me after my 1st birth as well... for over 6 months! I was so envious of other mamas who were counting the days until 6 weeks postpartum so they could screw, and yet 6 months down the line it still hurt me! I had a very long pushing stage with daughter #1, so it felt like my insides went topsy-turvy.
But 2nd baby came flying out, so we had sex 5 weeks postpartum!

Tue, March 14, 2006 - 12:22 PMThat IS fabulous!!! Congrats!!! It was never an issue for me, cuz I was a single mom, with no partner to WANT to have sex with. Plus, the nature of the pregnancy was difficult so I didn't have a desire to have sex for 2 years after my daughter was born....But I can imagine how unpleasent to say the least, it would be!
