Charles Busch's "Vampire Lesbians of Sodom" and "Sleeping Beauty or Coma?" opening at Stagewerx Theatre (Sutter St. Off Union Square) on October 2nd running Thursdays and weekends through November 1st (with one midnight performance on October 31st). Rehearsals begin August 25. There is pay.

One of the longest running plays in Off-Broadway history, "Vampire Lesbians of Sodom" tells the saga of two fatally seductive vampiresses whose paths first collide in ancient Sodom. Their bitter rivalry as bloodsuckers but more importantly, as actresses, endures for two thousand years with stops along the way in 1920's silent movie Hollywood and contemporary Las Vegas.

"Sleeping Beauty or Coma? is a loose adaptation of the fairy tale of Sleeping Beauty centered around up and coming former office temp turned fashion model Enid Wetwhistle and her fairy godmother, the kooky Fauna Alexander and her photographer boyfriend Ian. Set in the swinging mod London of the 1960's,

(*Sleeping Beauty or Coma will feature the same cast as Vampire Lesbians of Sodom playing dual roles)

Wayne Dyer Project Filming in Monterey, CA--Extras Call

Hello Everyone!

We are shooting a narrative feature film with Wayne Dyer and high profile Hollywood talent in Monterey, CA, and we're seeking a large number of background/extras to participate in this project. For those of you not familiar with Dr. Dyer, he wrote "The Power of Intention" as well as numerous other books on spirituality and healing. The name of the film is "Ambition to Meaning: Finding Your Purpose". If you're in the area, this is an opportunity to be part of an amazing project that is all about the teachings of Dr. Dyer. The shoot takes place 8/2-2/23.

Here's what the film is about:

"Dr. Wayne Dyer explores the spiritual journey from ambition to meaning. The powerful shift from the ego constructs we are taught early in life, by parents and society, which promote an emphasis on achievement and ccumulation are shown in contrast to a life of meaning, focused on serving and giving back.

Through the intertwined stories of an overachieving businessman, to a mother of two, seeking her own expression in the world, to a director trying to make a name for himself, this entertaining film inspires and teaches us how to create a life of meaning and purpose."

We're looking for extras with a wide variety of looks, ages, and ethnicities. Kids, teens, young adult, adult, seniors. "Types" include: business person, conventional, families, hipster, alternative, etc.

Auditions- Aberrant Behavior- Saturday June 7th @ Mamma Buzz 4-6M in Oakland arts district

I am having auditions for my new movie "Aberrant Behavior" Saturday June Seventh at Mamma Buzz Cafe in downtown Oaklands Art District 2318 Telegraph Ave from 4-6PM. I have already casted some of the roles and have people working on it, I just have not cast all of them yet and of course the female lead.

There will be some paid roles (of course the leads) but this is a low budget (around 25-35,000 or so) affair so it won't be a whole lot. Just to warn you.

Aberrant Behavior, is basically a love story about two self destructive anarchistic-y street kids who have an exaggerated form of pica, a disorder where people feel compelled to eat non-food materials, carpet, dirt, soap, drano, various chemicals, etc. as portrayed as a drug addiction. They have a very co-dependent relationship and with there disorders too , they literally destroy each other.

There's more to it, but that's the basic synopsis. If you can't make it to the auditions, you can send me a head shot with resume, or whatever you want. We can then decide when and where to meet.

He is sort of sloppy hipster, slightly emo, slight slight slight goth meets street kid. Light or no body mod, piercings, etc. He eventually lives on the street because of choice.He falls in love with Aiko. SOME NUDITY AND SEXUALS SITUATIONS REQUIRED-CAST

Aiko Zumbi (18-early twenties or look like it) Half Japanese/Half German (or Japanese, or half Japanese/Half white). Shorter than Victor, thin but still slightly curvy.
Street kid with a bit of dark hippie. Has been sexually abused as a child. Prone to violence. Prone to long winded rants, or sometimes just total silence. Dark, cynical, with a very bleak view of life. Body mods, tattoo's, piercings, fine. Dreaded or colored hair fine as well. Actually preffered. She falls in love with Victor. SOME NUDITY AND SEXUAL SITUATIONS REQUIRED.

SUPPORTING LEADS:
Pedida Muertos- (20's -40's)-Mexican- Victor's nearly catatonic - mute drug addict mother, who is usually messing around with strange men, and drugged up. Mostly abuses Victor through neglect. Mostly shown in flashbacks, but one scene in present as well. Young actress aged to look older in present, or vice versa.

Misty & Foggy (20's) two girls that Victor and Chad meet at the bar, who are wasted, and act and look like twins. Very ditzy, drunk, corporate, normal. They take Victor and Chad back to there place. Drunken debauchery ensues.

Spic 'N' Span (20's -40's)- One of the horrible mascots for the advertising firm Victor works for, "Spic n Span's Whiten it up" Cleaning product. They play racist cliched versions of mexican house workers. Think Samo. It's meant to be horrible, and it of course offends Victor.

Aiko's Father-
A militant cold hearted man who sexually abuses aiko. Must be bilingual Japanese & English

Aiko's Mother-
Always screaming at Aikos father. Bi-lingual fluent in German & English

VARIOUS:
Hipster's (18-30) Some with speaking roles. A house party Victor crashes.

Office workers (20's -on) Some with speaking roles.

Children's Entertainment Company Needs New Performer!

A Santa Cruz based children’s entertainment company, http://www.happilyeverlaughterparties.com is on the search for a new performer! This is the perfect way to add some sparkle to your life (and extra cash) while only working 1-2 days per week! You can live anywhere in the Bay Area, as the position requires travel to several different cities. If you have an eye for costume and make-up design, and a knack for making children laugh, this may be your dream come true!

Unlike most children’s entertainment providers, we do not use wigs or franchised characters. We like to remind children what can happen if you just let your imagination run wild, instead of just copying the television/movie characters. Each costume is hand-made by the head Faerie (Fae) and truly unique.

Job Description;

Attend events around the Bay Area as a whimsical character (Mermaid, Faerie, Princess etc) and perform a simple magic show, twist colorful balloons, paint faces, make puppets come alive, and many other fun activities! Each performance is only an hour and a half and your compensation will be $80.00 (plus tips!)...and sometimes more (sometimes parties are longer in which case you are compensated $30 per extra 1/2 hr. Also, if you party is more than 1 hour from your home, you are compensated $30 per extra hour of driving, roundtrip). As you gain experience, you may have the option to attend 3-4 parties a weekend!

Full Faerie training will be provided to the right applicant. The training will consist of 3-4 sessions of 2-3 hours in Santa Cruz. Your compensation will begin after your initial training (these are skills you get to keep for a lifetime) with your first tag-a-long (where you get to see a real live Faerie perform!). With proper practice, you could begin performing by the end of April! Again, the training will take place at the Tree House headquarters in Santa Cruz, CA...the schedule is quite flexible. After each training session, you will be required to rehearse on your own time to prepare for a final performance for me (the head Faerie). If you have too much on your plate (full time student+extra job+slaying dragons in the evenings), you should not apply for this job. It takes a lot of time to become a true Faerie, but the reward is immense. Once trained, the job doesn't take much time at all. Just 1.5 hours per party!

You must have your own, reliable vehicle, as you may have to travel up to 1 hour away (depending on where you live) for the event. Most shows are in San Jose or San Francisco. You also MUST be punctual. Being on time (and even early) is more important than anything else. If this is a problem for you, do not apply. I ask that you are available 3 weekends a month, with one weekend off (if you want, you can work 4 weekends). Anytime off must be requested at least one month in advance.

Applicants are strongly recommended to have experience with theater, young children, music, glitter, and working independently.

Two time slots: 7:30AM-10:00AM (Golden Gate Park), and NOON-2:30PM (UCSF).

Actors will be portraying patients (at UCSF) and troubled teens (at Golden Gate Park). Each actor will receive screen credit and a $25 cash honorarium for their participation.

About this film: directed by an award-winning, veteran filmmaker, this film charts the difficulties at-risk youth face in our current health care system. Underscored by the Institute of Medicine and the National Academy of Sciences, this film serves as a supplement to a groundbreaking study conducted by both organizations; along with the study, this film aims to make a significant difference as to where health care investments are placed for our nation's youth.

I am afraid that I will not be able to cut the content of the movie script, even if I find actors interested .You can e-mail me with rates, photos, questions, etc. If your an actor or actress who has worked in nudity and/or sexual situations, is comfortable with it, and would like to take on a feature narrative film as a major role please e-mail me or show up to the auditions. Emma May (20's to 30's) Actress must be thin, because character is anorexic. Very fake, superficial, manic laughing. Very self deluded. She doesn't really see her anorexia as a problem, she think she looks great though she's obviously dieing and goes to extremes to keep herself thin. She is always dressed up elegantly and thinks of herself as a proper lady even when doing something grotesque . She is a head executive at a advertising/pr firm that she gets a Victor a brief job at, through meeting him in a class over there mutual addictions. (Brief Nudity /Partial a few times)

Caseworker Joe (30's-40's) Written has hispanic, but open. Larger guy, tall, built like a shed, a bit fat but not flabby fat. Very coarse, to the point, direct "Take no shit" kind of guy. Very normal, buys into the whole big house in the suburbs, good job, etc. He is Victor's Caseworker, and is tired of Victor's Shit, and believes he is not trying to quit. (None)

Glitters- a gay gangster rapper, take everything that's a cliche and horrible about it and flip it so that it's gay (some, will also need male models)

Pedida Muertos-Victors Mother. A nearly catatonic morally apprehensive drug addict who's always sleeping with random guys and ignoring her child (Some nudity/sexual situations can be negotiated to less)

And then random visuals, nudes for some flashback scenes (of some sort of psuedo porn the main characer shot) a girl that Victor sleeps with before he falls in love with Zumbi (requires brief nudity/sexuality) and some body part imagery that will not feature the face of the actor/actress, among other thing

She wears too much makeup, and is from the Ozarks. She has a southern accent. *** All actresses interested in auditioning for Cherie, please prepare a short song to sing A cappella. You may be asked to sing this song at auditions or callbacks.

Grace Hoyland (F) - 30-45, Runs the diner. Her husband deserted her years ago and she's finally come to terms with life. She's wise and motherly, but can be a bit of a flirt if the right man is around.

Bo Decker (M) - 20-30, ranch owner, attractive, cowboy, brash, impulsive, naïve, child-like, innocent and simple.

Virgil Blessing (M) 40's-50's, ranch hand, good-hearted simple cowboy, like a father to Bo, laid back, plays guitar a bit.

The Marsh is a non-profit theater located in San Francisco on Valencia st. We are small and are working towards beginning a network online to help bring in new talent and new patrons. We've been around for 18 years and are a breeding ground for new performance. Focusing on solo performance, but also branching out to others, we pride ourselves on being a place for performers to come and have an opportunity to display their work in front of audiences.

Audition for Knife Beats Finger's production of The Heavy Hand

We are casting several roles for Knife Beats Finger's February '08 production of a new original play. The Heavy Hand is a gritty bar-room drama about addiction, with feisty dialog, verbal and physical conflict and firey love-scenes for committed actresses and actors. If you enjoy fun, emotional, energetic, socially challenging roles, please consider auditioning. These are unpaid roles.

Cast Call for Erotic Sheep short film

I'm making a short film (5 minutes or so) and am looking for actors. This will be done in a short amount of time, involving a short commitment.

The story is of a woman discovering the erotic joys of being a Sheep, having adventures with her very loving Ranch Hand. All female/ftm cast/crew (except for male voiceover). Would shoot on an upcoming weekend, or if people are available, on two upcoming weekdays.

Here are the three roles I need to cast:

1. Woman-As-Sheep: physically small-to-medium-ish woman. Very comfortable in her body and somewhat athletic as she will be doing a lot of leaping and bounding. Able to do a good bleat. Woman-As-Sheep is new to the joys of erotic sheep-dom, but finds herself a natural. She absolutely loves being a sheep! She is deeply in love with her Ranch Hand, who treats her with chocolate and the best clover around.

2. Handsome Ranch Hand: butch woman or FTM, taller than Sheep. Loves Sheep more than anything in the world. Hardworking ranch hand by day, who looks forward to evenings relaxing and romping with Sheep, pampering her, and enjoying all her fleecy silky softness in all ways.

3. Male TV voiceover: he is a narrator for an animal documentary--old school male voiceover sound.

The bed scene will be pretty sexy so actors will need to be comfortable with that. Couples welcome for these roles.

There will be two shoot days, either on an upcoming weekend, or if people are available, on two upcoming weekdays. 1-2 rehearsals before the shoot.

I'll be submitting this short to festivals and perhaps some online venues. Everyone gets: Credit, DVD, good food, good folks, lots o' fun, and a well-run shoot.

I’ll be having auditions hopefully this week.

You don't have to be an expert but wanting to dive in and can do physical comedy.

Dance-Theater Performers Needed

Krista DeNio and Ryan Eggensperger are casting one female actor, one male actor, and two female actor-dancers for Sally: MIA, a dance-theater cyber-odyssey concerning the first fully automated female phone operator. Performances will be February 8-10, following a winter residency at CounterPULSE (SF). Sally: MIA will be created through collaboration between performers, director and playwright. Some pay, depending on project funding.

Roles: Female caller – any type, able to do variety of character voices
Male caller – any type, able to do variety of character voices
Sally 2, Sally 3 – any types, must move well, will portray alternate sides of main character’s personality.

Seeking the two leads for a a dimestore paperback come to life about two marginalized strangers who meet at a remote roadside motel and find that they both have their dark secrets which may spell the other's doom.

DALE: The handsomely grizzled & chiseled, weathered & leathery cowboy, with a croak of a voice that sounds like it was soaked in a vat of bourbon, left hanging in the smokehouse for a few months and then taken outside and run over with a car. (Apologies to Gary Graff.) 40somethingish

AUDREY: The femme fatale. Eccentric (some may say crazy), sensuous and alluring, with curves that could knock a 12 year old boy off his bike. 20somethingish

Authentic or credible southern accents preferred, though by no means required.

Auditions in Berkeley later this month, and shooting/rehearsals should take a few days next month. Exact dates are TBD.

Shot in HD with festival ambitions (our previous work has had its share of festival exposure), with an experienced crew that have logged many hours together and are still great friends and create an easygoing atmosphere on set. We're really seeking folks who are looking to make something of quality, and are interested in being involved in the long term success of the project, rather than just another notch on their proverbial bedpost/pistol.

In addition to CC&M, we'll cover basic travel expenses and put together a demo reel for you, and if you already have one, we'll update it.

Imagine a movie created from audience suggestions, completely script-free, filmed mere minutes before you see it for the first time.

Our next show, The Impossible Film Project, is a series of short films that are made while the audience waits. Armed with a camera and several tapes, a director and a team of improvisers will hit Union Square this August.

We need runners to deliver the tapes back to the waiting audience, then re-join the team in time to do it again!

This is a very real, constructive, hands-on way to support the arts!

auditions for FUSE/SF Fringe Fest 2006

the alloy project is now holding auditions for FUSE, a multimedia play that will be featured in this year's San Francisco Fringe Festival.

We need four men and three women in their twenties/thirties. Actors' race/cultural background are unimportant, but they should be able to play biracial/multiracial characters (i.e. - black/white female, asian/white male, latino/asian female, etc.)

Searching for 2 male roles for Thanatics, A Rock Opera, performing at the San Francisco Fringe Festival from September 6-17, rehearsals in August, abbreviated showcase at SF Theater Festival on July 23rd.

Thanatics, an original work previously performed at the Exit Theatre in June of 2005, is about a group of San Francisco artists who accidentally spawn a suicide art movement that propels a fringe political party to power. Songs ensue.

Our ensemble cast is looking for:

Raven: the rockstar of the collective. Male, 30s, darkly complected (latino, african-american, or just dark and handsome). Must be able to sing rock-style; experienced vocalists only. Must have some acting chops and be in relatively good shape/good looking. Non-union.

Jack: the photo-journalist of the group. Male, 30s, any race. Acting chops required, singing voice not required. Relatively good build. Non-Union.

a principal role in a popular Japanese television show, "The World's

This particular episode tells the story of "Cathy" a Caucasian woman who
weighs 250 pounds or more, then loses a significant amount of weight
through healthy diet and exercise. Three "Before" Cathys will be selected
for the shoot to show her life in three stages before going on a diet:

2. Mid 20s-30 years
3. 40-50 years

Real Golfers needed for extra work in PING commercial

Beau Bonneau Casting is looking for real golfers age 18-65 to work as
extras in a non - union PING commercial.

Filming will take place in Berkeley and San Francisco on Wednesday;
February 15th, you must be able to provide your own transportation as some
extras will be needed at both locations. If selected you must bring your
own golf club to set. You must have your own golf club in order to submit
yourself.

If selected the rate is $125 for the day. A typical day lasts 8 hours and
you are expected to be free the entire day of shooting. Please do not
submit unless you are available ALL day from early morning to late evening
as we will not know the start time until the day prior.
