Because, they way I'm seeing it, I'm going to end up flogging a drag-king Kurt Cobain impersonator while singing the score to "Hello, Dolly" to the tune of Girl Anachronism unless we get this cleared up.
(What? I just saw Wall-E.)

Re: What kind of music is Bent: The Musical set to?
Sun, July 27, 2008 - 6:25 PMAs much fun as that whole flogging scene sounds, the party will be the usual Bent mix, with Cuir Bleu playing a couple sets during the event. Their music is electronic rock with a "spanking good beat" and great to scene to.
We *might* play a few theme-specific songs early in the evening, but once people start playing I always try to be really careful to be mindful to not do anything that will disrupt the scenes in progress... which means we won't suddenly break out the "Hello Dolly" score or a country line dancing number at 11pm. :-)
Raven is our Bent DJ, and he tends to play goth/industrial/electronic and requests... similar to what you might hear out at BaGG. At least that's how I think of his mix, someone else might describe it differently... in any case, we try to have it be very scene-friendly stuff.
Hope that helps! :-)
Cheers,
Chey
