Hi - we are looking for covered/indoor space to hold approx 10-12 people for Donation Ashtanga Yoga held on Sundays from 0900 - 1030.
Right now, we are practicing Ashtanga every Sunday behind the Burlingame Recreation Center in Washington Park. With the inclement weather approaching, we'd like to take it inside, preferably Burlingame or San Mateo.
We are open to suggestions as to how to pay for the space. Since this is Donation Yoga on the Peninsula, we do not charge anyone for practicing Ashtanga.
Ideally, we'd like to have some kind of setup similar to "YogaMob" in San Francisco, "Yoga Mob is a part of the growing movement towards donation based yoga classes in the Bay Area. Yoga Mob is located in a 4000 sq. ft. live/work warehouse at 3359 Cesar Chavez at Mission. This space is provided to qualified instructors at no charge. Due to the lack of overhead, donation based classes can be offered to the yoga community for as much or as little as one is moved to donate. For those of us who practice regularly but are on a limited budget, community spaces like these are an invaluable resource."
So if you have some space you'd like to donate, please contact James Murphy at burlingameyoga@hotmail.com -
~Namaste
