Spontaneous Yoga Happenings, sans instructor?

It was the name Yoga Mob that caught my eye.

On friendster a few years ago -- perhaps still, i wouldn't know -- there was a profile located in Chapel Hill, NC called only 'mob' and it had hundreds of friends, would post last-minute a time and place for everyone to converge, and then, quite out-of-the-blue, there would be a huge mass of people in some completely unexpected place. When I saw the name, actually what I imagined, before I started reading, was this sort of completely spontaneous event/happening, but with people doing yoga. Still, I think this sort of thing would be absolutely fantastic. And it wouldn't involve having a teacher, just people suddenly practicing yoga, a great many of them, in some space in San Francisco.

Anyone else think this sounds like fun?

I think this is a brilliant idea! The first location that pops to my mind is Rincon Center by the falling water fountain at lunch time. Any ideas how to get enough Yogis and Yoginis together to create a spectacle? If you pick a date and time, I’ll contact my email list which includes about 30 practitioners.
