Yoga Mob returns December 5th! This was made possible by a generous donation of space by The Precita Center and 12 Galaxies. More classes and new instuctors will be added as we find additional spaces for the Mob.
Established in November of 2005, Yoga Mob is a community organization dedicated to providing low-cost or free yoga and meditation classes to those who cannot afford the high cost of studio memberships or expensive drop-in classes. Classes are open to all ages and income levels. For those who practice regularly but are on a limited budget these community classes are an invaluable resource. There is no minimum donation for attendance. 100% of the proceeds go to the instructors. Yoga Mob spaces are provided to qualified instructors at no charge.

Instructor Bio: Jonathan Reynolds has completed teacher trainings with the White Lotus Foundation, Erich Schiffmann, Darren Main, BaronBaptiste and Greenpath Yoga.
He is the founder of Learning To Listen, a global community dedicated to spreading tools for conscious living, and has written two books: Poetic Listening and Learning To Listen: Simplifying Spiritual Practice; and has created a meditation CD - Learning To Listen: Simplifying Meditation.
His yoga class can be both physically and mentally challenging, yet remains beginner friendly. By using vinyasa (roughly sun salutations) as yoga's physical building block, we can realize the breath as the building block of consciousness. Yoga as meditation allows us to experience life's honesty by transcending perceived limitations, building in organic ways an appreciation of love, patience, generosity, and union. Both seated meditation and chanting are used as part of the experience.
See you soon!

Re: Yoga Mob is back!
Sun, December 3, 2006 - 10:39 PMwill there be classes other than those taught by johnathan reynolds?
I am sure he is the bees kness, but is the "mob" open to other instructors?
I have been teaching for close to 6 years and would be interested in taking on a class or two myself it was available. -

Re: Yoga Mob is back!
Sun, December 3, 2006 - 10:57 PMYes indeed. I need to find more spaces though. I'm approaching the Mission Girls Center, Mission Cultural Center, Mission Dance Theater, Red Ink, and A.Muse this week. We can't afford much rent. No more than $30 per class. Free is better. We are looking for rooms that will accomdate up to 30 students. Ideally, the room will have an uncarpeted floor, temperature regulation, and a sound system. However, In exchange for affordable classes, Yoga Mob students tolerate less the prefect conditions.
If you know of available space, please let me know at farang_cat@yahoo.com or post to this thread.
