SF Gay Bar History

public - created 02/03/07
Gay bars of San Francisco: from the early part of the century up to now. Let's pool information about the bygone bars of North Beach, SOMA, the Tenderloin, the Mission District, the Embarcadero and various other nooks & crannies of the city that once provided some of the most important venues for the development of gay community. Okay, yeah, that's a lame, stiff sounding description right now but I just want to get the group off the ground first. We can make the description sound pretty later on.
