I know you're working on getting schedules up Raven, but when are we looking at finishing up on Sunday and/or Tuesday? It's a big difference in fares and time from a 12:30 flight on tuesday to a 7pm one...

I know you may not know yet, and that's ok! But I figured I'd ask because I'm looking at the whole picture here :)

hotels! Ugh! Are they all really expensive in SF? Wow! If anyone has hotels or whatever they can recommend please post. Trying to find hotel for at min- 3 people ( to cut the expense down). Cheapest so far starts at over $100 per night...EEEK! guess I don't need to eat 3 meals. =)

I've been digging around and found some not so bad on Orbitz and Hotwire. The one's I'm looking at were coming in at about $50/night for the two of us. I'd do a hostel except this trip is actually acting as our 5th wedding anniverary trip...eek!

        Hypatia,

Were those hotels within walking distance to the venue? I'm not sure if I'll be able to go or not... but $50 seems very reasonable.

          amber...
Sunday is 11-5:30pm.. although the last 2 hours of that is exclusive vending from some of bay areas hottest designers...
So dancing/panel/discussion wise ends at 3:30.

Tuesday is 11:30-5:30... with an hour break for lunch in the middle there...

          hope that helps!

sorry ladies, tribal fest is all consuming this week. Will post updates, schedules and such to website next week..

Virgin America has cheap fares, too.

Also, ladies, SF has great public transit, so you don't necessarily need to stay in a hotel near the venue - the buses and trains are only $1.50 to ride for up to 2 hours, so that gives you plenty of options.

I recommend checking out some places in the Castro area (church St, Market St.,) etc. It'll be a quick hop on the train to the dance studio, and the area is full of bars and restaurants (and hotels will be cheaper than downtown)

I've had friends stay at this "gay friendly" B&B and liked it a lot: www.willowssf.com/rates.htm Their rooms start at $95 and include breakfast.

Yes, The Willows is beautiful and romantic with lots of refreshing plants inside and a delightful breakfast in bed each morning. But please bring your favorite earplugs if you want to sleep. It is at a very busy intersection.
