DIRECTIONS

From Dallas, head east on I-30 to Mount Pleasant. (About 115 miles depending where you are coming from).

Exit #160 to Highway 271/highway 49 and turn right. Watch your signs through Mount Pleasant and stay on 49.

Continue on Highway 49 approximately 17 miles to Daingerfield. Watch your signs through town and stay on 49. Continue on Highway 49 approximately 8 miles until you are just past Hughes Springs.

(There is a 4-Way stop at the intersection and it is right next to the Wildflower Inn and Cafe. Great place to stop for food. Decent price, large quantity, home made, damn tasty.) Turn right on FM 2612 Loop.

Continue about 0.5 miles. Turn left at the "Love Chapel Cemetary" sign. (The County Roads are not marked very well if at all out there. Just watch for the Love Chapel sign, it's easy to spot.)

Continue about 1 mile. Road will merge with another, stay left. Continue about another 0.5 miles. (You will go past CR 2987 on your right but not as far as the Love Chapel Church on the left.) Gate will be on your left and not easy to see until you are right on it. There is a green "Underground Cable" box very close, watch for it.

People from other locations, use the intersection of Highway 49 and FM 2612 as your way point. It is just south east of Hughes Springs and north west of Avinger. Find your best route to that location.

If you haven't already been here, yall will love this spot!!!!

This is a leave no trace event.

I cannot wait to share the experiences that we've been planning with everyone, only two weeks until we get to get wacky in the woods with all of our Dallas family! We're blessed to have such a great lineup on the main stage all weekend as well as to have permission to set up our own area for the weekend. A big thank you to Jello and MST!

We figure that with the main stage going super hard all night Friday night we'll need our stage to be pretty chill so that people will have a place to go if the main stage gets to be a bit much for them. Then as the music settles into it's groove for Saturday night we'll begin to increase the intensity on our stage. We're thinking a musical progression curve that peaks in intensity at some point on Saturday night. Intense being the more intense of the chill variety. Lineup won't be posted until the party.

We also wanted to announce that not only will we have a sound system and music, but also a fully decorated and themed interactive area dedicated to life, love, and regeneration with many activities planned for everyone to participate in throughout the weekend. Stay tuned for more details!

Lastly, we are also announcing that we will be celebrating the birthday of our dear sister, the one and only Miss Lovelee.

Once again, stay tuned for more details and we look forward to gathering with all of you to get our dance, laugh, and play on in a couple of weeks!
  • Jess and I are going to be co-leading yoga at the second stage in the mornings on saturday and sunday. No times have been worked out for that just yet, but be sure to bring a mat or a blanket with you. We are excited to get all of these people together for this event. It has been a long time in the making, and from what I know about the main stage it should be pretty wicked!

    See you all there :)
  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, that was an experience
    • I had such a great time. I LOVED the venue. I had never been out there before. The big tall trees were sooooooooo nice. I could have used some showers but oh well. Friday night was interesting. Sound issues for half the night. From what I understand it took them a while to figure out what it was. Even though there were sound issues the 200+ people that were out there really didn't give a shit. I guess they did to a point but made the best out of it on the dance floor. I got up there when Nick Apophenia was on. He had major sound problems but kept on going. With all of his sound issues he still played a great set . If the sound would have been working right he would have had a perfect set building up into UHM. By the time uhm went on the soud was working a little better but still messing up some. I htink he got to rawk out the last 30 minutes of his set without any sound problems. He got the dance floor really pumped out.. I can't tell you how many smiling faces I saw of people who had never heard high bpm psytance. The faster the bpm the more people out there going nutz. Nevlim took the decks after uhm and again played another fabulous set. I have only heard Melvin play opening and closing timeslots. He played a style of music that I had never heard him play before and did an awesome job bringing it down a little bit but not to much from uhm. This showed me that he can play any time slot given at a trance party. Mist played after melvin and...... Whoa... That was a kick ass set. I thin it was my favorite set I have ever heard him play. Thanks Mist that was awesome. As far as Aeon.. Everytime timeI have heard that man play in the last year I like it better everytime. Whatever you are dong keep it up! Universol from Tribal Elements came on after Aeon when the sun was up and played some really nice tribal morning psy. It's been a very long time since I have heard a morning psy set that I have really really liked. Bring on the tribal!! It was nice..... Then of couse my girl Dub Till Dawn........Anyone that has seen Miss Dawn play they know what's up. PsyDub yumminess..........So this was Friday night.......

Erin Lee,Nick,Paul and friends set up a 2nd area of the party. A place to chill, come togther, and make what you want out of it type of area. Thank you so much for setting up the 2nd stage not only for the music but to bring people together as a community and get to know each other. Thanks for all the dub bizz going on over there. The area looked super nice. :)

Over all the vibe at this party over 2 days was awesome. I met so many people from Tyler,Austin,Dallas ,Fort worth and etc. I saw old people, young people, middle aged people, you name it.. This party was truly a great experience.

Thanks everyone who had there hand in it!

Oh yeah, I heard psychedelic house music!! it exsists but I will save that for another day. It was pretty funny looking around the dance floor and seeing trancers all dancing to house music.. lol including myself
  • I had a great time Friday night. The location was awesome. It was pretty harrowing seeing all the sound problems with my set getting closer and closer and it's a bummer that it kept at least one friend that I know of from playing. I enjoyed Jello's acid and old school goa set. Nick held his head high and played a good set given the sound issues and rolling with the punches and he deserves kudos for loaning the deck from his system. Brian tore shit up and it was both a pleasure and somewhat daunting to follow him. He definitely left me feeling like I could play the darkpsy I had been preparing for. I really loved Mist's set. There was some awesomely weird sonic business going on there. Unfortunately being exhausted from just having fought off some major respiratory crud I regret I was unable to stay up for the rest of the psy line-up. I appreciated my friends that were playing later being out there during my set and I so wanted to return the support for everyone but I just passed out in my tent for a few hours after catching most of Mist's set. My brother, nephew, and friends all had a great time too and most definitely enjoyed the psy line-up. After a swim in the creek, I bolted back to my mom's Saturday morning for the comforts of a home in my still ailing wore out condition. My bro and friends stayed but my brother said most of Saturday night was not the cup of tea he or I prefer. I would like to hear more about this psychedelic house business though...
    • It always sucks when the sound goes out or starts "mis-firing". That's part of the reason I got into doing sound. I have no idea who did the sound nor was I there, but I'd just like to put it out there that I'm not by any means nailed down to Austin.
The best of luck to whoever did do the sound and I hope you didn't fry any gear because that gets expensive real quick.
      • Yep we were discussing how important it is to hire a "sound guy" I think it had to do with like a million little things. cd'j wasn't working, generator not big enough, cable was bad, something with the mixer..lol you name it....... But FINALLY the changed the mixer got a new cable, new generator and whatever else and it was okay even though I heard it go out 1 time on Saturday night....

        • What a weekend this was. It was a three hour drive to the venue. I got there and stole Jesse's saved campsite, and then took the next two plus hours to setup my tent. During this time the sound on the main stage started developing some issues that turned out to be numerous in number. It affected the performances of a good amount of the acts, but no matter what we all individually pulled through and made the best of it all. I know that I still had a great time playing for a quite a few people who had never heard me play before. The dj setsa through friday night and into saturday morning were some of the best sets I had heard in years. The flow of the night was essentially perfect.

Jess and I were passed out until midnight or so saturday, so we missed a bunch of people play. The house music was certainly diverse and played at tempos that seemed outside the box for house.....I liked some of that Sean Anderson brought it with his brand of techy, hypnotic of diversely flavored beats. Jess and I were immediately drawn by the sounds we heard, and were rewarded accordingly. Brett Johnson came up next and honestly he blew my mind. I have never heard him play before and that was by far the most psychedelic, tripped out, house set I have witnessed. He had a thing with dissonance which can be really jarring, but made it sound great and ingenius. Thank you to both of you guys, you had my darkpsy loving ass dancing to what could be easily labeled house music

Terry Simms played a really unique, funky and off the wall morning set that was just great for that time. I enjoyed the little that I heard of Catfish on the second stage, as well as TomB and ROyal Highnuss. The second stage looked very nice. A lot of love was put into it by Erin Lee, Nick, Paul & others.

Big pats on the back should be doled out to Josh Kynd and Randy for the bringing out of their respective sound system and dome. That was a lot of work and a long haul. To Jesse and Walt and those who brought out visual stimulations. Pretty much everyone who provided anything to make this happen. Jello thanks for seeing out your idea, you provided the pallete for Jess and I to have a different, refreshing, intense @ times, & fun social gathering. It was great to see everyone and connect.
