Re: MY BEST WISHES
Mon, July 28, 2008 - 7:20 PMJust in case some of all you all out there don't know, Mademoiselle Sofia is getting married in a very posh ceremony in Niagara this coming weekend.
Her and her hunkariffic man Alex are running around like chooks trying to iron out the final details.
And I will add my voice to Kashara's in wishing you both well. But then, I'm just gonna hug the bejabber out of you on Saturday before I drink your booze! ;-)))
Bon Souhaites!

Congratulations, Mistress Sofia! A long and happy life to you and yours! Here's hoping the Goddess bestows lovely weather on you as well!
And, Val.....drink a lil booze on my behalf, too!....er, I mean....Toast the happy couple, dance, and make merry, and take lots of photos so we can all invade her privacy and share in the happy day! I can't wait to see how beautiful the bride is in her weddin' garb!
Blessings and Moonlight,

Re: MY BEST WISHES
Sun, August 3, 2008 - 2:38 PMNow THAT was a classy wedding!
Sofia had a beautiful wedding gown of velour, pearls and beading and, of course, made a stunning bride. The groom opted to also dress in all white and was his usual debonair self.
The reception was at a country club in Ontario's wine region and it was just delightful and SO classy. Alex (the groom) went all out! They hired the Toronto Jazz Orchestra to play most of the evening. And while I usually don't have a big like for swing music, I must say it gains all new power when you hear it live.
What I didn't realize is that Sofia and Alex were both avid swing dancers, so their first dance as husband and wife was a swing dance. And they looked so romantic as they glided across the floor in all white.
As a special surprize, Sofia had Maryfer from Arabesque Dance Company bellydance at her wedding. Maryfer is a sweet lady and a good dancer too. She was a bit nervous that the crowd at the wedding wouldn't like her, but they were sufficiently loosened up from the open bar and sophisticated enough that they totally enjoyed her dancing. All around it was a fun, classy evening. -

Re: MY BEST WISHES
Wed, August 13, 2008 - 7:58 AMthanks to all for your wonderful wishes!
The wedding was beautiful indeed! And stressful! My gosh. It went so fast I barely remember it! Thank god for video!
For me it was so great to see all the people I love present at the wedding. And everyone looked their best!
I am still waiting for the "official" photos from my photographer, but meanwhile I am putting some pictures on tribe. For those of you that are on facebook, I've already put some there!
It was the most emotional day of my life. As I love my dear Alex. He is such an amazing guy! We had a bumpy start (a few years ago), but it was all for the best. We got to learn to know each other, and to love each other.
and for me, I was really nervous cause on Thursday I had caught a very strong flu. The kind that goes into your muscles, and you are feverish and all. So on Friday, I was really weak but had to get ready and all. Since I wasn't really hungry, I didn't eat much that day. Well, on the rehearsal at the church, after practicing walking up the aisle for the second time, I got dizzy and I almost fainted! Everybody from the wedding party gasped! Alex brought me to the washroom, and on my way there my legs gave way and Alex picked me up in his arms. After my mother-in-law gave me orange juice and some cookies, I felt better. My blood sugar was just too low! The priest came to talk to me to make sure I was ok. Plus, he asks questions to make sure you are not forced into getting married, all those things. And he also gave me absolution of my sins on the stairs on the church's basement! Well, I have to say I never expected that!
So the morning of the wedding, I ate like a pig to make sure I had enough energy! I usually don't eat much meat but that morning I had eggs, ham, sausages and potatoes! Plus my mom showed me some tai chi moves to ground my energies. It helped a lot!
Just before entering the church, I was scared I was going to faint again, but I entered the aisle with my mom to my right and my father to my left. So they supported me all the way. It was an amazing moment.
After that, I got so much energy that after the reception we invited some of our guests in our hotel room for a late drink, and we went to bed at 5am!
The day after was brutal though! But it's only one day of our life. It was worth it.
:)
that is all,
love to you all
Mrs Kadijevic now! -
