The Parade of the Lost Souls is a lively commemoration of the cycle of life and death, and of facing fears in order to live life to its fullest. Costumed stilt walkers, jugglers, dancers, and musicians lead a walking procession through the neighborhood.
Performers, artists and willing spirits come together to honour the dead, wake the living and celebrate the brilliant cycle of life.
Skeletal Brides, blessed witches, ghastly ghouls, and prancing pixies mingle side by side.
Date: October 25th 2008
Location: Grandview Park
Time: 6.30 PM, procession at 7:00 PM

"The theme for this year's parade is 'Metamorphosis and the Whimsical Dark'. As we walk the route this year, we will follow a little girl named Vasilisa. The character, from a Russian folk tale, will take us on a journey symbolizing the cycle of life. Leaving Grandview Park, we begin in the white zone, a place of purity and innocence, the place where we all begin, open and curious, filled with wonder. Then we enter the black zone where fear, despair, oppression, and repression test our mettle, shaking us to the core. The red zone then releases paraders into passion, love, imagination, and creativity. Cleansed by the flames of passion's fires, we return to the white zone, and a new innocence found in wisdom."
We're gonna have a giant shadow area on the all weather field in the "white zone".
The festival is building a huge screen for us!!! (16 by 20 feet)
ooooOOOOoooooAaaaahhhhhhhhh....!
