5 girls and I are making an art car with fake fur and lights under the fur "glow fur" style and I was wondering what your method of attaching the fur was. at first we were thinking we could just use zip ties . Did you use industrial glue? I was thinking maybe E-6000 glue. also, how did you attach the rope light? I was also wondering,if your method worked well and if you came across any problems. ANY advice would be greatly appreciated.
thanks so much Heather and the playapussiepossie

Re: art car platypus needs glowfur help
Thu, July 9, 2009 - 1:32 PMHey there Heather,
I haven't been on Tribe in a while, but I'm part of the Shagadelica Crew and wanted to point you in the right direction!!
The faux fur on our bus is removable...helps in transportation of the party barge. We've seen quite a bit of nastiness come from driving it to / from the playa and have learned from it.
I believe what we have is a zipper pattern with heavy duty velcro strips intermittent along the sides of the bus to hold on....this may not work in the wire frame you kids have.
The person I'd recommend chatting w/ is Jim Abrams...he helped in the first year's creation of Shagadelica and also has been working on the Tetris project last year and this year. His email is jim@jimabrams.com. I'm sure he could make a few moments in his crazy busy schedule to talk story.
BTW...u're platy-pussy wagon is SICK! You kids part of the Pink Mammoth?
Can't wait to see it in action...
