Tribal Fusion Friday Specialty Classes and Mini-Workshops!
Friday June 29th
Slow Motion - relax and breathe through the movements with elegance and tribal style! We will work on technique and learn a mini-choreography.

$25 and enrollment limited to 8 people.
Friday July 6th
American Tribal Style improvisation Part 1 - fast movements. We will learn the basic movements that originated tribal fusion bellydance and that are an essential to any tribal dancer. We will drill the movements and learn how to dance improvisationally in a group.

Friday July 13th
American Tribal Style improvisation - Part 2 - slow movements (with a gothic twist for the spirit of Friday the 13th!). We will learn the basic slow movements that are an essential part of tribal fusion bellydance today. Movements will be drilled and the basic concepts of tribal improvisation will be practiced, including how to communicate with the eyes in ATS. Then we will add some gothic character.

Tribal Fusion Summer Workshops with Leslie!
Please note: Leslie will be travelling to California to continue her studies in Tribal Fusion bellydance as of August 1st - she is presently the only tribal fusion instructor in the Region. If you are interested in learning the basis, now is the time to participate in a workshop! Date of return to Ottawa is as of yet undetermined! Practice your drills :)
Locks, Isolations, Conditioning and Drills - Sunday, June 24, 1-4pm
This is a 3 hour workshop devoted to conditioning, strengthening, and drilling. These handy drills will strengthen your practice and help you develop the strong locks and isolations that make tribal fusion such a unique dance form. Great for any level of dancer including beginners to tribal fusion.

Spins and Turns - Saturday July 14, 1-4pm
By request, this fun workshop dedicated to the art of (not) getting dizzy returns! We will work warm up, work on grounding, fast turns and slow turns and work on where to include these in your choreography.

Drills and Combinations - Sunday July 15, 1-4pm
This is a 3 hour workshop that follows up on the June 24th workshop by adding layers and combinations. Open to all dancers but experience with tribal fusion or a few years of Oriental technique is helpful. This is a great alternative for those unable to attend Kami Liddle's (sold out) workshop and will offer a taste of the technique that Kami will be offering July 21-22.
