With the success of our kickoff party last month, we are proud to present to you on Saturday March 15th 2008, RESONANCE v.2.

This month we are featuring Ghreg on Earth and Audiovoid. We are also switching things up and putting the trance outside and the breaks inside. Thank you to everyone who came out to the last gathering and helped to make this happen. Resonance is a regular psy gathering in the bay area that is focused to strengthen and empower our community. We will concentrate our energies on featuring local and guest artists of all mediums on a monthly circuit in the Bay Area. Ranging from chaotic noise to dronescapes to industrial beats, David Cohen has been making electronic music of numerous forms under a variety of pseudonyms for the past 11 years. Upon moving from the metro-west area of Massachusetts to Los Angeles four years ago, Dog of Tears became deeply involved in the psychedelic scene and began melding his electronica obscurica with unique, woofer-rattling analog psytrance. In recent months he began collaboratting on a project with Amanda Karg of MoE known as Mugwort Moon. Prepare for an onslaught of dark, driving, distorted frequencies and rhythms replete with live modular analog synthesizer tweekage.

Greg Farley has been involved in the psychedelic trance scene in
Northern California for over 5 years. After several years of being a
dj and event coordinator, he began to produce his own music in the
summer of 2003. Assisted and influenced by San Francisco artists such
as Quasar, Ocelot, the Nommos, Chromatone, and Penta. Mubali's music
began appearing on various labels like Mistress of Evil Records,
Geomagnetic TV, Trishula Records, Insomnia Recs, and Manic Dragon
Recs. In March of 2006, Trishula Records released Mubali's debut full
length titled "Cats at Play." His music style can be called nighttime,
aggressive, psychedelic music, and this year he has been doing a lot
of collaborations with many artists such as Naked Tourist, Highko,
Arahat, Bodhisattva 13:20, and Electrypnose. Be prepared for his sonic
onslaught and holographic textures.

*Xyla - (Mistress of Evil Records, Shaman Films) San Francisco/Medina, Ohio

Dark, abrasive, aggressive, and beautiful; these are words that
describe the sound of the well-known producer from San Francisco. Her
experimental style draws upon several genres including industrial,
power noise, and trance. Xyla brings us a new concept in what we call
dark electronic music. She has recently relocated from San Francisco
to Medina, Ohio, and we are very happy to have her here with us! For

This Goahead date with Lauryn is long overdue! Lauryn's passion for
music has been a constant all her life. She began playing the violin
when she was 9 years old. Her love of music led her to begin djing and
producing her own psytrance radio show while attending college. In
2002, Lauryn moved to Boston where she helped start Psyforia. Recently
relocated to New York City, Lauryn is a label dj with Peak Rec
(Switzerland) and is affiliated with 28thday(NYC) and Mistical
Productions(Texas). In the past six years, Lauryn has played across
the US and in Europe, sharing the stage with many well-known
international acts. She is known for her energetic, nighttime, funky

It's my great pleasure to present Naga Helix, an outdoor event in Northern California with 18 hours of psytrance from the renowned act Grapes Of Wrath and favorite local talent. Our Danish friends last visited the area three years ago and have only been to the country once since then so please take advantage of this rare chance to see them perform their incredible music live. The gathering will be in Belden, a resort town on the shores of the gorgeous Feather River Canyon alongside Highway 70. Camping and parking space is limited so please share tents and rides. Also make sure you bring swim gear to cool off and relax on the beach!

As the 30th is Naga Pachami (Festival of the Serpent) we are honoring these animals and all they embody. The snake's regenerative powers and waved motion symbolize the eternal spiraling of universal cosmic forces. Naga, the divine serpent, also represents the dormant Kundalini energy coiled at base of our spines which rises through and activates the chakras as we awaken to full potential. This entwined nature is also seen within the double helix of DNA, the fundamental path of life we travel towards higher levels of consciousness.
