Hello everyone. (from Director of Volunteers, Reema)
I have been asked to be the Director of Volunteers for the LV Intensive 2009. I am looking for enthusiastic, fun loving people who want to take part in one of the biggest and best events Las Vegas has to offer. So many performers come to Las Vegas and witness first-hand the comradery and family like atmosphere at this event and a great part is owed to all the wonderful and generous volunteers we count on each year.
Additionally, volunteers get the added perks of taking some classes or attending the shows for free, and have fun. There are many opportunities to be involved in. We need people to be ushers,to help at the registration tables, and to check people into classes. We also need help running the festival stage, runners for vendors & performers, personal assistants to the teachers, etc. We'd enjoy having some "belly husbands" who want to help move, set up, and tear down equipment as well as dealing with technical aspects of the event. We are exceptionally delighted to announce that September 9-12, 2010, the Las Vegas Bellydance Intensive & Festival will take place in our new home, the historic FLAMINGO Hotel & Casino!
It's 4 stellar days of workshops, shopping, festival dancing, cocktail parties, Elvis Impersonators, Pro-shows...all in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip!!
Bugsy Siegel's desert dream, The Flamingo, has anchored the Las Vegas Strip since they started rolling dice in 1946. This self-contained casino and resort offers everything an adventurous belly dancer could want--delicious restaurants, an amazing pool, and ample space for our classes & shopping.
Set on the famous four corners of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road, this hotel combines heart-pounding Las Vegas excitement with hospitality and service that's second to none. We couldn't be happier with our new home!

Registration for the 2010 event will open at the event with a special price for 2009 attendees. Stop by the registration table on your way to watch the festival, attend classes, or shop to sign up for next year's event at the lowest possible price. On site registration will be $395 or 12 payments of $34 for the 4-day package. This includes 24 hours of classes, a ticket to the Friday show, a ticket to the Saturday show, and a thank you gift.
Additionally, those who register for the 2010 event on site before the Sunday lunch will be entered into a special raffle to win free Flamingo merchandise! Regular online registration for the 2010 event will open September 15th, with a slightly higher price.
We are excited to see our homegrown event expand each year and attract hundreds of dancers into our Vegas community. We are also excited to be able to feature so many professionals instructors & performers.Thanks for supporting this event and allowing us to promote the Las Vegas community to the broader world of belly dance. We are looking forward to this year, and all future years.
