If you were going to get married ( or already are, bt say, could do it again ; ) would you have a traditional white wedding, or a belly dancey wedding?? and if you chose a dancers wedding, what do you imagine?

Sat, July 19, 2008 - 1:08 AMif i were going to get married right now...
i would have a 3 day wedding celebration... somewhere beautiful in nature. or near nature. outdoors. with little lights strung up, and heat lamps > :)
there would definitely be some sort of gypsy caravan-- lots and lots of live music. rugs. hooka lounge feel. i would ask some of my friends and fav. dancers and musicians to perform and offer a dance for us... perhaps fire too. i would have figs and wine and grapes and food and merriment. .
i love the idea of a middle easterned theme-ed wedding. I imagine lots and lots of live musicians. accordian. horns, drums, etc...
And lots of pillows, fabrics, velvets, textures, etc... a bedoin tent.
would i wear white down the aisle? hmm... maybe. or cream. but probably a hand-made one of a kind dress, made by one of my designer friends... with layers, and textures, perhaps hand dyed silks? or cream colored textures? definitely henna. Or perhaps i would research other gypsy cultures and see what i'm inspired by in their wedding celebrations. I love indian weddings. all the color!
i like the idea of a 'white' wedding, but a festive colorful party/reception.
tee hee!
fun musing..
are you getting married? -
