We have a lot of good cooks in our Shire - lets share the wealth with the whole world...
One of my favorites:
Tuna Casserole
Cook 1/2 package Kluski or egg noodles
when cooked, add 1 can tuna, 1 can green peas, 1 can Cream of Mushroom soup, 1 can mushrooms
stir together, sprinkle cracker crumbs on top and bake for 1-2 hours at 325 or until the top 1/2" or so is nice and chewy.
Season to taste when served.
Yummmmmm

Take 1 package of your favorite macaroni and cheese, prepare it as normal.
Add 1 can of cream style corn, a couple pieces of cooked bacon, and some celery or onions to taste
mix together
sprinkle bread or cracker crumbs on top and bake for 1 hour at 350

Re: What's your favorite comfort food(s)? And how do you make it?
Fri, April 11, 2008 - 3:55 PMAnother favorite - more hors d'oeuvres really
take a pound of bacon strips and cut them in half crosswise
wrap each half strip around a 'lil smokie sausage and pin it with a toothpick
alternatively it works well with water chestnuts, cubed pineapple, apple segments
place on a cookie sheet, drizzle with maple syrup (or substitute) and sprinkle with brown sugar.
bake in oven at 350 until bacon is starting to get crispy.
serve warm - they'll disappear fast - if you're making them for a party, make 3 times as much as you think you'll need.

Tue, March 25, 2008 - 12:20 PMCream of Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese Sandwiches.
My Sandwich must always have ketchup in which to dip, Indy's must have mustard (freak). I like my tomato soup to have a dash of spicy Cajun seasoning. -
