how many of you have done any study into the mayan calendar and te many 2012 predictions?
This is a site with hours of succint presentations on the subject.
www.mayanmajix.com/

I am of the opinion that the information held in the mayan calendars is prophetic and valid. Please take some time to become familiar with the path that we re all on. Luck is when preperation meets oppirtunity, let us prepare so that we can be the lucky ones.

I don't know. I think the whole thing is way too ordered to be random. I believe there's something to it. I have not studied enough to have a concise understanding or firm belief of what might happen, but I do feel that SOMETHING is going to change and change US in a serious way, and we should be prepared. There may not be some cataclysmic situation and we all go boom, but I do feel there will be some sort of shift of consciousness and understanding. That we will need to be more united as humans, and living caretakers of our planet.

Physically, I am working to clear debt and to become more self sufficient in order to sustain and protect myself my family, and maybe even share in that with some close friends who are of the same mindset. I am also doing a lot of internal work to change the old tapes that have been playing in my head, to listen to my intuition more, to be honest and true in my communication, and to be happy and physically healthy.

I agree with Julie on this......I come from a place where my religion predicted
the end of the world on October 22, 1844. Everyone sold their homes, let their
fields go fallow, and prepared for a different life. Well it didn't happen. But it
did change their lives forever. So ultimately they DID have a different life here.

So I am very hesitant to buy into any "prophesy" that says it knows when the end
of this world will be. I don't think anyone here knows that. I do believe that there
is an awakening going on right now. I believe the wheat is separating from the
chaff, in that those willing to be accepting and open-minded are stepping away
from those who want to stay safe in their close-minded worlds. Like Julie, I want
to be prepared for whatever this separation will bring. I also feel in my gut that it
will require some sort of self-reliance skills and we should all work on how to take
care of ourselves should our current supports crumble. I think going to BM is the
best preparation any of us can have for this. And all this equipment we think we just
need for BM may in the end, save our lives.

I will read more on the Mayan calender. I'm always willing to listen and learn. But I
also have to follow my own instincts.

I don't think it's the end of the world per se, but I feel there is a huge shift in how people view their place in the world with our dependence on certain types of energy, our cycle of financial dependence to create this myth of economic independence, and there's a definite move towards greater sustainability and self reliance. There have been so many more natural disasters of huge scale in the last few years, and the concept of being unprepared is a little frightening as well.

Maybe I wasn't clear.....I don't really think it's the END of the world either.

But due to the way we treat our planet, our weather and such is becoming unstable.
I think our world, as we know it, could be turned upside down. I mean, look at some
of the natural disasters we've had in recent years all over the world. So I believe the
potential for us being affecting by huge natural disasters is very likely. It could be
something else too, wars, terrorist attacks...who knows.

Ultimately B-D and myself plan on getting out of Dodge. By 2012 we plan on selling
our home and buying a piece of property outside of any big city where we can be as
close to self-sufficient as possible. I also see a shift in peoples thinking happening.
I don't know exactly what that will mean. But I do feel changes happening.....and I kinda
feel like we all better hang on with both hands. It could get crazy....
