I recently cut off my longer hair in favor of a shorter angled bob.

I have a performance coming up in a couple months with my student troupe and I was looking for ideas on what to do with my hair. Our choreo is very very "classical" egyptian in flavor so my usual default of tribal style falls/flowers won't work for me. Our costumes are likely going to be short sleeved mettalic skin cholis with matching knee length petal skirts over either black faux-lodias or a mermaid skirts and I need some advice! Thoughts?

Wed, October 14, 2009 - 7:00 PMOh, that sounds delicious! My hair is too short for any sort of clips, so I usually go with a headband made out of trim from a fabric store. I have a few different headbands that are sewn to just my size... very simple and cheap. They have sequiny and beaded trim of all kinds. Could even go nicely WITH the aforementioned clips... :) -

Wed, October 28, 2009 - 12:11 AMI just started to grow mine out again, from a chin length A line cut --- chic and all, but i wnat more of a flowing mane for performing. My hair is very fine, straight and it grows reallllly slowly. AND, I'm letting my silver roots grow in. All one can do it keep trimming it a little,and maybe find a 'fall' to use. I've done this process once before, and I just had to keep patient, keep focused on my goal, and not give into any weird impulses to cut again! It is hard!!! --- but doable. By next summer, my hair will be back down to my shoulders again, yeaaaa. Hang in there ----
