Bengali/Baul Gypsy music, Mystic Chants, Sufi Trance,
Bollywood and World Fusion

ABOUT BABU: Born into a prominent Baul family:
traditional poets, singers, and storytellers, from Bengal
(eastern Indian and Bangladesh), Babu is the son of the renowned Purna das Baul and grandson of Nabani das Baul, one of thegreatest of Baul saints. Babu is the 9th generation
of his family to perform. His collection of songs includes
traditional Bollywood to World Beat, Rock, and Fusion.

He has performed and recorded with musical icons, such as:
Miles Davis, Alice Cooper, George Harrison,
Janis Joplin, Bob Dylan, and Ravi Shankar.
