Hi everyone! :)
I've started to learn about sidereal astrology, and it's so interesting!! After i got over the initial shock of being a capricorn sun instead of aquarius sun... that is... i happened to like aquarius sun much... anyways...
i was hoping you could help me with understanding a little about myself through sidereal astrology rather than tropical.
Tropical:
Sun - Aquarius
Ascendant - Scorpio
Moon - Scorpio
Mercury - Aquarius
Venus - Aquarius
Mars - Scorpio
Jupiter - Aquarius
Saturn - Sagittarius
Uranus - Sagittarius
Neptune - Capricorn
Pluto - Scorpio
Sidereal:
Sun - Capricorn
Ascendant - Libra
Moon - Libra
Mercury - Capricorn
Venus - Capricorn
Mars - Scorpio
Jupiter - Aquarius
Saturn - Scorpio
Uranus - Scorpio
Neptune - Sagittarius
Pluto - Libra
------
i tried to gather as much information as possible, but there isn't a lot out there for western sidereal; if anyone here could point out some of the biggest differences between my tropical and sidereal chart, i'd appreciate it... so far, the only thing i know is that my mars is in scorpio for both tropical and sidereal, and that i have more planets in fixed in tropical and cardinal in sidereal... ^^;;;

Re: hi! new to sidereal!!
Thu, May 29, 2008 - 12:44 AMThe U.S.A. has been born with serpens cauda, the tail of the snake, ascending. In sidereal astrology we observe the true sky. What you just posted is tropical astrology with a little shift. The error is now two signs, e.g. if you think you are a Scorpius ascendant Capricorn, you are probably a Virgo ascendant Pisces (or Cetus). tribes.tribe.net/academic_zodiac -

Re: hi! new to sidereal!!
Mon, August 4, 2008 - 7:48 AMGenerally 14 for the sun or 15 precisely, 21 for the planets and 1 for the moon. The ascendants are another story since they precess. Thus the U.S.A. has either Oph, Ser or Aqi asc. The zodiac has been determined years ago with a minor reformation in 2006.
The sidereal zodiac has thus 22 constellations and (presently only) 16 ascendants.
BTW neither Scorpius nor Libra are ascendants.
