SiliCon Burners is a group of Burning Man enthusiasts interested in extending the BRC culture year-round within the local Silicon Valley community. In spirit, this community came into existence in 2002, when Burning Silicon, the then-official Burning Man Regional was founded. But in Feb 2007, this tribe was spun out of the official regional network. At that time, the Regional changed its name to South Bay Burners and the fun group of peeps around here became SiliCon Burners.
To get plugged into local burner events, you should not rely solely on this tribe because this is the most quiet of all our online communities. To stay up on local events, you want to get on the South Bay Burners (SBB) Announce List. To participate in chit chat with other local burners, you want to get on the SiliCon Burners Discussion List. To find out how to subscribe to those lists (and more) visit www.southbayburners.ORG
