Are you one of those people who’s been chomping at the bit to get a place at Soulstance 2009 (being held June 19-21)? Well, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to get the web site ready for you (many thanks to our webmaster, Sparkinzi!)
Soulstance is a 2-day, 3-night official Burning Man Regional Event, and this will be the third year in a row that we’ve celebrated a burning solstice at Lupin Lodge in Los Gatos. If you didn’t make it last year, ask around … it was spectacular (300+ attendees, music and workshops all day and night, art cars and costumes and camping, oh my!) This year, we’re hoping to make it bigger and better than ever, but it can’t happen without YOU!
Gear up for the playa, do some practice CAMPING (shake the dust out of your tent, test your air mattress, see how warm your playa coat really is!), PARTICIPATE in the creation of a playa-rific experience for everyone who attends. Want to DJ? Practice your poi? Have a new ART project or EL WIRE creation you’d like to show off? Come to give to your community and BE DELIGHTED by your fellow participants!
You can now register on the website, www.soulstanceinfo.com, and chat with fellow burners about the event at tribes.tribe.net/soulstance. Pre-registration is $15, and helps the regions cover our costs for insurance, paypal, websites and such. Camping fees due to Lupin will be the same as last year, but the first 100 people to pre-pay their camping fees will get a reduced rate. See www.soulstanceinfo.com for more details!

Fri, May 8, 2009 - 5:41 PMI've heard that there are still some of the pre-paid camping slots available at Lupin, but the announce for Soulstance just went to San Francisco today and is going on the national JRS tonight or tomorrow. So they might go fast this weekend! There are only 100 available.
Remember, camping fees are in addition to registration fees. The special pre-pay camping rate can only be booked by calling the Lupin office directly! See the camping page on www.soulstanceinfo.com

GATE OPENS at 12:00 noon on Friday, June 19th. RV and tent sites will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis unless you are a registered theme camp.

CARPOOLING is strongly encouraged, as parking spaces are limited. If you’re tent camping, you’ll want to unload your gear near a tent site and then move your car to one of the parking lots.
LIVE MUSIC Friday night and Saturday afternoon on the restaurant lawn. DJs all weekend at the Dirt Shack. Pink Floyd & Green Tea, Naked Twister, Burning for Beginners, and Erotic Fetishwear Making are just a few of the activities on tap! The list is growing daily … add yourself to the what/where/when!
And, this event can’t happen without everyone volunteering and participating. We’ll need greeters, rangers, gate, parking and LNT helpers. If you do it on the playa, bring it to Soulstance! Send an email with the subject “Participate” to: info@soulstanceinfo.com
