have you ever had any paranormal/supernatural experiences that goes into the spooky category? here's mine, happened last night:

i work for my aunt who is the school president, as a secretary/IT manager in a school for caregivers and domestic workers. when she works she does not like to be disturbed so that means that she finishes all the drafts first before i start to work on them (encoding, layouting etc). this resulted in me working nights at the school doubling up as guard. last night i had finished encoding a book she was working on and decided to print a draft for a final editing. as per office protocol, we always use the dot matrix printer (the noisy and slow one) for temporary copies. the document is 600 plus pages long with a printing rate of about 3 pages per minute.

so to pass the time i decided to sit on the office sofa and play the guitar awhile. i was playing it for about two minutes when i felt as though something brushed on my left leg. i was wearing jeans so to feel something brush up my left leg amounts to the object brushing me as having enough pressure as to be felt. then the left half of my body had goosebumps and i felt a bit tingly, but only in the left part of my body, on the right everything was okay.

it was then that i turned my head left and **shivers** tried to see what brushed up the side of my leg. there was nothing, i was going to let it go when (i wasn't dreaming i swear) the part of the sofa, about 6 inches from where i was sitting began to compress as though someone was on the act of sitting beside me. the compressing area appeared like what it would look like if someone was actually sitting in there, complete with shadows and folds. i turned my head and faced straight ahead. funny thing is i wasn't afraid. i remember thinking to myself "is this it?". then the left part of my body had the tingly sensations again and goosebumps showed up again, longer this time. i managed to say "don't you do anything to me or you'll regret it". though i didn't know exactly how "it" would regret it.

about 30 seconds after i said that, the goosebumps were gone i felt normal again and the compressed portion of the sofa was gone. although coworkers here tell stories of apparitions and presences, i haven't had any experience until now (its been a year since i've been here) although i frequently dream of people watching me when i sleep here in the office. this is the first encounter i've had ever since i was a kid, back then it was like every night and i never felt afraid even then.

so, anyone there who has some story to tell or maybe some explanation to this? debunkers are welcome too.....

I've had lots of "weird experiences" in my lifetime. Probably the one that freaked me the most was after playing tennis one night in a small country town and walking back home in the dark. There was an area which always gave me this strange sensation when I walked near it, like you didn't want to stop there for too long. It was a small dam filled with water and had long stems that grew out of it. You have to cross over a culvert to pass it before you get to the tennis courts. It was around 11 o'clock at night and I headed off home after finishing playing tennis. I had just got past the culvert and dam area when I had the sensation to turn and look over my shoulder to the right. I turned and looked behind me and sitting at about my shoulder level was this face of something that I have never forgotten.

The face was a greyish colour, not the face of a human being, and it was like a reptilian/aligator type face. It had a long aligator like mouth with really horrible bumpy skin and bits that hang down around the front of the mouth. Even though it was only for a split second of seeing this thing it felt like my heart had shot out about a foot in front of my body from fear. I continued to walk home but my body and heart were shacking the whole way.

I have heard of reptilians that feed off fear which live in other dimensions and hope that I never experience anything like that again.

I also have had the experience of waking up one night and not being able to move because it felt like there were a ton of bricks on my body. I couldn't move, I couldn't scream and being lucid and unable to do anything was scary. I think it may have been an earth bound entity that had caused this as I had another experience in which I had just laid down to go to sleep and rolled onto my side when I felt someone sit on the bed and roll into the same position as I was laying on top of me. Thankfully I was still awake and swiftly moved and yelled NO as if to push it away.

I was told by a medium that should never have happened, that my guardian angels should have protected me better. I was told that I now have a dome that surrounds me to protect me. I did think about what was happening to me at these times and realised that it was when I was going through some tough stuff in my life and my defences were down so now I know that I have to stay strong, focussed and positive at all times and not feel depressed or dejected because that leaves us vulnerable to other things that are there which we can't see.

I believe that it was probably an angel or spirit which sat next to you on the lounge, maybe a test to see how you would react, be afraid or handle the situation ok. They do that, put us to the test to see what level we are at.

I often get messages from my angels and the way I know that they are true is that the verification is the feeling of goose bumps or tingling straight through the centre of my body. Maybe you should test this out and ask a question about something that you need an answer for and your angel might give you feeling of goosebumps again to show you the answer. You can white light yourself and ask for protection any time as your guardian angels and spirit guides are always with you.
  • Hi... I am 57, and have had a few experiences of 'things that go bump in the night'...The first that I can remember was when I was 5...(missing time, and overlay memorys)....
I'll relate my ghost story.... I was 19 years old (1969) and out for a morning sunday drive with a friend...We were in a town called Escondido California.. In North San Diego county... It was a beautiful Sunny Sunday....at the east edge there was a beautiful but troubled 3 story Victorian.. there were lots of rumors of 'things' that happened around there... the stables had been burnt down a few years before...It was around 9:00 AM and my friend and I trected through a Orange grove that was a recent addition... We set on a dirt bank, and he lit up a joint... I had one hit, as at the time I wasn't too crazy about pot....I was looking out towards the road, and saw a strange thing...It was a cowled hooded cape... It was see-thought, and it was about a foot off the ground... It was going back and forth between trees, pausing a looking at us, coming closer little by little... I must have had a socked look on my face, as my friend ask me what was the matter... I didn't want to say, as I though he would think me dingy after taking a hit of a joint... I told me so, and he ask me to tell him any way...So I related and pointed to the figure... He stared in that direction for awhile, and then told me to get up... he put is arm around me and almost shouted run..... we ran around the grove and jumped in my car and took off.... I don't really get creepy feelings very often and I have had situations where I would, but that one wasn't right... I do know that if that spook was just reliving a trumatic time... The original ground would of been higher... As the ground was worked down to put in the groves....Hence this Victorian 'period' cape would be walking on the ground of that time, not our altered ground ( for the Orange groves)... of 1969.
Escondio was called the 'valley of the devil' at one time, only because of the strange happenstances... A lot of UfO activity... The early Natives held a area on the far side scared... ( Around Rancho Bernardo, for any locals of that area)....
I myself saw 8 UFO'sin the sky with several friends, and a smaller one that was on the ground, ( also with 3 other people)....(2 diferent times) The City Council watched a group of UFO's for almost 20 mins.. it was told back in the fities....
After many years of contemplation and a few other wonderous experiences as these.. I have come to the conclusion.. that these were just gifts given to me to let me know that things are not as they seem... I have grown up out of the box. .After many years of research, I have found that most of the things we have been taught in school and church are not what really happened...The only thing I know to be true on this Earth.. is Love is the magic that makes things work.. We attract to us what we put out...The only survial tip is to Love one another as we are all one....( animal vegitable or mineral)

    HI there!
I think most people have had strange and uneasy hapenings in there life times. I have a few simple affirmations for you. There are two things in this reallity, light and dark, light is love and the known dark is fear and the unkown. Our minds are powerful, powerful mechanisms. When made your statement to the entity, using your mind, it left you alone and your fear was lost. You create your reallity.
I have been blesssed with so many situations and experiences that have helped me realize that I control my life and what will truly happen to me. There are energies that we cannot see but do exist, negative and posotive. Postive energie forces have been identified by christian religion as angels and negatives as devils, yet in our dimension neither really exist. Think about it! Where are the angels and devils in times of war and chaos? All of the truly innocent people who have died ar been beaten and raped. Where is god buddah and or allah???
Hmmmmm no where to be found in those particular moments. All of those posotive aliases live in your heart whatever you want to name it. You choose to be light or dark. Point being that you can conquer and or defeat anything with your mind and love. Stay head strong and all will be well.
You tell the creepers that you are in control and they are not welcome . You worship love and light and this evil shall not fill you with fear we fear not of death! So what is there to be scared of then! Hmmmmmmmmmm! one dimension to the next........ I was once on a jouney in my mind indduced by Dmt and I asked to talk to a friend who recently passed away and it was my first time. Two entities approached me and and brushed me with there beauty and only a few words were passed to me over and over.
" love pure love, everything is love!"
I grew up in hawaii where there is heavy spiritual activity and I saw Ghosts(apperations for most of my childhood. They never really hurt me at all. I now realized that it was my very own fear that froze me with paralysis. Fear of the unkown!.....so when ever I sense creepieness now I just remember and repeat to myself
" There is only Love hear friend, only love, thats all there is; Love"
Anyhow I hope these words help you the next time you find yourself in a spooky enviroment!!!!
    One love,
    the fish

    Hi,
There is a simple explanation. A spirit (energy form from a previously corporeal being) sat next to you. They just want us to acknowlege that they are there, and sometimes to help them. You are probably psychically perceptive, which draws spirits to you. This is just the first time one has managed to make contact with you while you were awake. They won't harm you if you acknowlege them.

I also have a personal encounter. The house I live in is haunted. Through use of my pendulum, and finding out from the landlords that it is true, I found out that several people were murdered in the house. Most of the activity is lights being turned on and off (the switches, not just the light going out), things being moved (such as car keys or a wallet from upstairs to the downstairs) etc.

One day I was taking a shower when I was home alone. There are two lights in our bathroom. I had turned both on, and halfway through the shower the overhead one turned off. It startled me, and I yelled "knock it off!" to the spirits. Well, they must not have liked that, because they slammed the door shut.

Through using the pendulum, I learned the name of these spirits, and how they died. I speak to them now, and they leave me alone. I can feel them there, and they have touched me, but I'm not afraid of them.

interesting application of the pendulum. i've always had no difficulty controlling the pendulum. i didn't trust it though because i found out that if i leaned towards a particular answer the pendulum would follow what i wanted not give me the real answer. i was hoping to get past that but i couldn't ;o)

I use an alphabet board, as well as the traditional yes, no, don't know and won't tell board. I get around the leaning towards an answer by asking it if I am influencing the answer. The trick is try and blank out your mind. Meditation helps with that.

Hi, I've had encounters with supernatural activity since I was a child. I could hear my deceased grandmother making the beds as I walked up our stairs, although it took me a long time to figure that one out ( I could hear her hand smoothing out the wrinkles in the bedspread). The house I live in now has a spirit in it. I knew all the owners of the residence. Only one person died in the house, a solitary man (think he had a heart attack). The spirit (whoever it is) played pranks on my EX back when he was nasty to me. It turned lights on, fooled with his alarm clock (changing the time), even called his coworkers up with his cellphone. LOL I remember his coworkers phoning him back, asking why did he call. LOL A few times it created the sound of glass crashing to the floor in the basement. Another time it sounded like a large animal clawing on the door of my livingroom closet. Mostly now, it just toys with my computer. The other day it slid my volume control waaaay up on the online radio station I was listening to. Not nice! I had to tell it to leave me alone.

Also have seen a presence in my bedroom 3 different times. The most recent was about 3 weeks ago. It actually awakened me by imitating my boyfriend's voice in an expression of pain? My eyes flew open, and there it was, standing off to the side of my bed in the dark. Looked like a baldheaded man, but hard to see in the dark. This was not the same appearance as the other times I saw a spirit in my room, so this one was different.

The supernatural activity is not very often. I can go months without any. I've noticed it tends to show up mainly in September and November. I'm home most of the time, so it does provide some rare entertainment. lol My mom was over once and heard the sound of glass crashing in the basement, so at least I have another witness.

heh... i have personal encounters all the time, but the worst was when I was a bit younger. I have been told that with each gift comes a demon, and I believe this with my whole heart. I am extremely empathic to people, spirits, animals, etc. However, I am pleged with nightmares. I have always had horrible horrible nightmares. Normally I can coach myself through them to where no one else will know I'm having them, but sometimes they are so bad I wake up in fits.
Anyway, I had to been about 14 or 15 when this happened. One night when I was having a nightmare I realized it and started to coach myself through it... inorder to wake myself up. (Normally I play cards, do homework, or read for a bit, go back to sleep and I'm fine) Well, when I woke up I felt extremely cold and terrified. My bed was set against two walls, so that the side of the bed along with the head of the bed touched walls. I was so frightened that I scooted all the way to the corner of my bed and balled up into a little ball and shut my eyes. When I looked up, for some reason I looked at my door. There were three black figures. I couldn't bring myself to look them in the face, but there were horrible noises and... screeches. I didn't understand how (still don't), but it sounded like they were talking to me, and somehow I could understand them. They were saying horrible things about how I would never sleep again as long as they were there and how I would never have rest or peace. I have a set of christmas lights hooked up in my room and the plug was right beside my bed. (yes, they were there for a reason. This was not the first time something like this had happened.) I turned on the christmas lights and started screaming for my father. The figures went away and my father came in. He reassured me that it was just a dream, but I wasn't stupid.

Things like this went on for months... heh... years actually. Anyway, I met a man named Mike who is a pagan. He started to talk to me about the power of stones and such. He, without me telling him about my situation, started opening up to me about things that he has gone through, dreams, incidents, and such... I opened up to him and he told me about the stones that helped him. I can't remember the name of the stones at the moment, but he cleansed them, blessed them, and told me to put one at each corner of my bed. He also told me to wear one constantly and told me to put another above my bed. I did so.

I haven't had nightmares since, however my gift of empathy has not left me either. I don't think that I have truly faced all my demons, because I'm still extremely empathic to spirits and such, but... I go on. :P

Hi, everyone. I'm new here. Anyway, I've had experiences of all kinds since I was a child. My oldest son also has had these things happen to him. The latest was the other night, about 3 days ago. It was about 11:30 p.m. I was getting ready for bed, and my son was in his room next to the hallway. I came out of the bathroom, and distinctly heard the rustle of clothing and the squeak of sneakers or some rubber-soled shoes on the floor. The first thing I thought was, "Where in the world is he going at this time of the night?" I assumed my son was heading up the hallway to leave, but when I looked at him a few minutes earlier, he had been sleeping. I turned around, and my son was laying in bed, looking at me with his eyes practically jumping out of his head. He said, "Oh my God, did you hear that? It woke me up. I thought someone was here!" I checked the whole house, and there was nothing and no one here. Spooked me out.

I'm also empathic. I can sense when people I think about are in pain or have something wrong with them. I try to send them healing thoughts and that seems to work more often than not. It tires me out, though, and I need time alone to recharge. I've already called relatives and told them what was wrong when the doctors couldn't figure it out. Last time, it was abdominal pain. I told her it was her gall bladder and to get it checked. Sure enough, it was. She had it out and she's fine. I also feel nature very closely.

I'm glad I found people like me!

Cindy, welcome to this group! :o)
These encounters were interesting to read.

Just an update on my previous story.......
When I mentioned a spirit visiting me back in September, imitating my boyfriend in pain. I feel bad now for being angry at the spirit, because now I realize it was a warning, a premonition. My boyfriend visited me December 29th, and became very ill on the 30th. I had to call 911 for him. I did hear him make this one big groan, which was the exact same sound the spirit had imitated to me! So apparently I was being warned that my boyfriend was going to get sick. Still wish I knew who that spirit was, if it was a relative of his.
