here's a little bit more of what i'll be covering in the "Liquid Lava Moves" workshop on July 26/09!
Part of the "Grounded Approach to Bellydance" Series -
this workshop is geared at training your body to develop the ability to move smoothly (arms/torso/hip movements done in a fluid controlled manner, and smooth transition ability from one move into the next). We will look at a series of yoga sequences that will help train upper back, neck and shoulders, spine, and hips/low back to isolate and become "unstuck", to execute and control your movements more fluently. Again, like all the workshops in this series - Posture!
the idea is for students to discover areas in their bodies that may have issues that hold them back, and learn what they can do to correct this, in a safe manner, and steadily build their bodies appropriately for each movement, and develop greater body awareness.
this workshop can be helpful for any style of bellydance, and level of practice, since we are all dealing with isolating movements. Good, info, practice and reminders for all of us.
hope to see you there!
