Hi all.
I'm new to this tribe. hello.
I'm looking into software to keep track of customers and invoices. Any recommendations? I'm currently looking at quickbooks and filemaker pro. I would love to hear if anyone has experience with these programs.
I have a home business that is mostly mail order with some wholesale and some retail.
Thank you in advance for your time and experience.

Re: invoicing and customer database software?
Sat, August 2, 2008 - 4:33 PMI've used quickbooks for years and find it to be very user friendly and effective for all the businesses I've used it in. I used Filemaker Pro years ago and loved it's database functions.

Re: invoicing and customer database software?
Tue, August 5, 2008 - 11:10 PMIt really depends on how complex an operation you have going. I have one bookkeeping client who uses both. Quickbooks for money and File Maker for her inventory and customer data base. However she is mac based and the mac QB program isn't as slick as the QB for windows.
If you are windows you should be looking at one of the premium versions of QB.
Here are some test drives:

I'm working on my QB Pro Adviser certification. If you have further questions please ask.
Best,
