Sharing and an invitation

Hello Everyone!

I just want to take a minute to share about some amazing breakthroughs I have had since February of this year, and particularly what I received at Burning Man this year.

Back in February, I participated in an emotional release workshop put on by Greg Ehmka. The work has been called a number of things over the years, and is most frequently known today as “Joyful Empowerment.”

It gave me a new access to manifesting my intentions, whether those be more ethereal intentions like having more love and community in my life, or whether those be more material intentions like having a divine place to call home.

My life has opened up. My heart has opened up. I’m living so much more the life I want to live. I feel myself filling up with more and more abundance in all areas of my life. I want to share it.

At Burning Man, I chose to lead workshops this year. Two of the workshops were based upon this Joyful Empowerment work. I received so much from those who attended, and if one of you is reading this, I want to express my gratitude.

One of my intentions for a long time has been to be a leader of workshops and seminars that empower people in their lives. I received that intention in a way I never expected at Burning Man. It is time for me to step up and take on a greater role leading empowered communities, and co-creating with fellow travelers.

My intention is to create leaders (as opposed to followers). I intend to create a powerful band of co-creators and travelers interested in manifestation of abundance and our higher natures on a GRAND scale.

I’m inviting you to join me.

I am moving into a new home with a good friend in Westchester. It is a wonderful place, and we are making it into a workshop center and place of healing and transformation. We will be offering courses on a number of topics, some taught by myself, and some taught by others already enrolled in co-creating a world of empowerment, transformation and abundance. Courses will be offered in topics including Tantra, Emotional Release, Dance, Men’s Empowerment circles, Women’s Empowerment circles, Past Life Regression, and MANY other topics. This is just the beginning.

life vs death: too 'bee' or not to 'bee' - mostly in the mind

i spent the weekend in the mojave desert at a gathering celebrating life under the fullmoon. on sunday morning, a girl in her early 20's was stung by a bee. her throat started to close up on her and she began to panic - she had a history of being allergic to bee stings, and had even taken an epinephrin shot a last time. we had no epinephrin for her in the middle of the mojave desert. when i came to her she was in laid out on the floor our first aide tent with our nurse. she could barely breathe and her pulse was 146 and climbing, we couldn't find her friends either. it was starting to look very bad as we couldn't get her to relax, it began to look like we might loose her. someone volunteered to drive her to a nearby(2hrs drive?) hospital and brought his car around but she refused because she had taken mdma and didn't want to go to a hospital on drugs... as soon as she told me she was on mdma i knew she had a chance.
"you took exstacy? that's wonderful! why don't you ask your throat why it's so tight? what is it holding on too?" i asked her.

she instantly relaxed, she started breathing and her pulse dropped to 72 in less than 30 seconds.(our nurse has this neat little stats device that goes on your finger). a few moments later a wave of fear and panic took her again but this time much less and she already knew that she had won. this time i suggested that she forgive herself.... 5 minutes later she was sitting up and even enjoying her roll again.
a doctor showed up. talked to her gave her some hits from an asma spray and some over the counter allergy meds but she was fine at this point. 30 minutes later she was on the dance floor.

i wonder how many people die because they believe they will, rather than because they are actually in any danger. this young lady really could have died, she was tired, exposed, dehydrated,low blood sugar, tachycardia, on mdma (and who knows if that's all she took) and convinced that she would die from a bee sting if she didn't get a shot.

yet by choosing to communicate with herself she instantly chose to live.

the human vessel never ceases to amaze me.

I have been asked to rally healers for the ground support. This is a
phenomenal and exciting opportunity to bring the presence of healing
into the public arena, while supporting the people, the action, the
cause.

We all know that we are woven in an inextricably linked web of
connection.. That our experience of ourselves creates our experience of
our reality, and vice versa. Consider what it means to have the presence
of a farm in such an urban area as South Central LA preserved. To step
in and stand in solidarity with this statement only makes sense. Can we
make our presence known? Can we support the fearless actions and
enduring commitment of those up in the tree, and those working arduously
on the ground? I think we can. Such a statement will not only impact the
onlookers, but also touch the soul of everyone involved.

i am really excited to announce that i can now offer your first class free with me, if you are new to the studios i am teaching at.

My schedule is posted on my tribe page - and the owners of Karuna Yoga and Bala Yoga (beautiful folks) have both agreed to let me invite students to take my first class free. If you want a free class pass, please let me know and i will get it in your hands.

I am happy to invite all of Los Angeles to check out what i do - these classes are all Introductions to Ashtanga Yoga - they are beneficial for all levels of practitioners. If you are an advanced student, i guarantee you will learn something new about your primary series practice in my class - if you have never done yoga before, i can work with you to get the most out of this experience by increasing your sensitivity and awareness in each breath and getting your body moving in a way that is appropriate for your level. I am also experienced in working with folks who are dealing with injuries – illnesses or extremely stressful situations.

I am hoping to be teaching mysore style ashtanga yoga soon here in LA - and i am looking for a space in downtown LA or near Hollywood to start an afternoon practice where i can work simultaneously with students of all levels on cultivating a consistent daily practice... if you know of a good space, please let me know!

And while i have your attention - i am actively seeking to WORK. Teaching yoga in LA town pays very very little and gas just keeps getting more expensivo. It was great to connect with other healers. We come from different directions serving different needs yet share core values and goals. One common theme for everyone was the intention to empower. Maybe we could speak to the intention to empower at our next meeting. It is certainly one of the areas where it helps to have the largest tool box available. Learning how each of us goes about empowerment in our work will enrich us all and enable us to serve at ever higher levels.

This six weekend intensive Anusara Yoga Studies and Teacher Training Program will take your yoga practice to deeper and deeper levels. This program is transformative and has the potential to impact not only your yoga practice and teaching, but also your life. We will cover an extensive curriculum of all of the principles and practices of Anusara Yoga such as asana (postures), pranayama (breath work), meditation, yoga philosophy and mythology, and the art and technique of teaching. This Anusara Yoga Studies and Teacher Training Program will consist of two phases: Phase 1, Immersion in Anusara Yoga (level 1). Phase 2, The Art of Teaching Anusara Yoga (level 1). Each weekend will include 14 hours of instruction from Friday evening through Sunday. In addition, there will be a few hours of home practice and homework given after each weekend.

Phase 1: This is an intensive-style, experiential deepening of all of the aspects of Anusara Yoga. Phase 2*: How does one share with others what is deeply profound and life enriching? Becoming a great yoga teacher requires a willingness to deeply delve into one’s own authentic nature, a process of effortful practice, personal joyful exploration and continual transformation. This Anusara Teachers’ Training offers a setting and structure for you to become such a teacher. We will learn and practice the techniques and methodology of teaching Anusara Yoga. a cosmic joke..or am i just stoned?

so i have had ganja as an ally of mine since for many years..sometimes she's been a crutch and a burden but mostly i am a ganja achiever..that's how i get shit done
well it seems that my body has decided that we're done with the ganja..for the last two weeks i have been breaking out in hives similar to poisen ivy and i've narrowed it down to my ally..the holy weed
i always looked at ganja like it was part of my religon..i felt that as a decendant of the dionysion cult that it was my birthright..then i found out that rasta's we're coptic..and i kew that i should keep on puffin..ima ganja achiever!..or i was
it appears that i have over toxified my system and now i am paying for it

i remember when i was ten and my dad was 33..it happened to him..i remember one saturday afternoon him freaking out realizing that he was allergic to pot!..i remember laughing and thinkin that he was nuts..and now it has happened to me..what a friggin joke!

okay so the obvious solution is to quit the weed and go on a cleanse..

has anyone heard of this happening?..any other suggestions?..i know that i should not complain but i have a lot of free time and i really love getting stoned..is there some herbal teas to help?..anyone care to trade fitness or martial arts training for ganja counseling and cleansing work?

or am i just stoned?

My partner Sandra and I are producing weekly webcasts on issues of sexuality and the erotic. Although these webcasts are intended for those with very little bodywork experience, comments and feedback from members of this tribe would be invaluable to us. We have a very straight act but don't that fool you. We are not radicals but rather subversives. Being a child of the sixties I am one pissed off honkey over the current direction of our country. I am mad at myself and my generation for dropping the ball and selling out. This my way of coming back. Helping people find more joy in their sexuality is my way of undermining the MAN. Being a great lover is really based on one's connection to oneself first, one's lover second, and by extension the world. The war against war needs to be fought on all levels possible.

Calling out Reluctant Healers

This weekend in the beautiful hills of Pasedena, David Elliott, the healer that trained me, and author of THE RELUCTANT HEALER...is offering a Level 1 Healer Training.
