This tribe will explore how a combination of astronomy, archaeoastronomy, mythology and astrotheology i.e. stories about the sun, moon, planets and stars evolved into religious beliefs over several millennia, today have their roots in most religions & cultures worldwide. The knowledge that they were based in natural phenomena has been swept under the rug to be lost and forgotten to the masses while, much of the church hierarchy have known all along. And use it to their advantage, politically etc, etc. Religion *IS* big business.

Abraham is the root connection for the "Abrahamic" religions. Which are Judaism, Islam and Christianity. Judaism and Islam are primarily lunar based and adhere to a Lunar Calendar while Christianity is solar based using a solar calendar.

Astrotheology - Theology founded on observation or knowledge of the celestial bodies

Archaeoastronomy - The study of the knowledge, interpretations, and practices of ancient cultures regarding celestial objects or phenomena. The branch of archaeology that deals with the apparent use by prehistoric civilizations of astronomical techniques to establish the seasons or the cycle of the year, esp. as evidenced in the construction of megaliths and other ritual structures.

Myth - "a traditional or legendary story, usually concerning some being or hero or event, with or without a determinable basis of fact or a natural explanation, esp. one that is concerned with deities or demigods and explains some practice, rite, or phenomenon of nature."

A solar deity is a deity that represents, personifies & anthropomorphizes the Sun. People have worshiped &/or appreciated the Sun and solar deities far beyond recorded history.
