I was perusing the indelible musings of Laughing Squid -- laughingsquid.com/graffiti-...e-taggers/ -- again and found this interesting link:
Graffiti Report Card -- designcrack.com/v2/2007/05...ters-unite/
Since I have a bit of a love / hate relationship with graffiti (love talented street artists who lean towards smart commentary and new style / hate the other more common "bombs" that resemble a dog's territorial piss on a wall), I thought this report card idea is in the long-time-coming category.
The idea is to humorously bash the trash while giving credit to the talent in the hopes of reducing the former. Not sure that would work, and I wonder about the noise these critiques add to the public space, but I like the idea.
PIXNIT
That reminds me, for an interesting and decorous approach to street art, check out Pixnit at my good friend Leora Lutz's Gallery Revisited site (which I design and maintain, btw).

Pixnit is getting lots of attention lately for her unique take on graffiti. Wish there was more like this around...
