Phoebe was a luminous soul and she will be missed. I'm astonished and tearful that such a bright light could be extinguished so suddenly. She had her first solo art show at barely 18, and nearly sold it out. Her art was whimsical and haunting, and always moving.

Jack and Drew and everyone who loved Phoebe, my heart is with you.

It doesn't seem right that the sun should rise on a day without Phoebe.

I have tried several times to fill this screen with words, but the words fail me. It isn't that I don't have enough words, simply that the words are not enough.
The immense pleasure that I took in watching Phoebe grow into the lovely, luminous creature that she became is paralleled by the sadness that I feel upon her death. And yet, my grief feels selfish when I compare it to that of her family, and her intensely close-knit group of friends. My heart aches for them.
The world has lost a beautiful creature, and there is no rightness in it at all, at all.
