Nobody shows up when I say, "go to my show" so I'm trying reverse physcho...babble nonsense.
and with that being said, I'm having a show in Santa Rosa on Saturday, August 4th. Yeah, that's this Saturday.
The New Trust is playing. What more do you want? It's going to rule even if my show is another disaster...
August 4th. 5pm until everyone drinks all the booze and the bands are done playing.
Daredevils and Queens, 122 4th Street in Railroad Square, Santa Rosa.
The New Trust, Ashtray, Not to Reason Why... and ME! Playing the flute... yeah, you know the flute I'm talking about.
Be there.

Re: Don't go to my show.....
Sat, August 4, 2007 - 11:56 AMNot meaning to be a big dick, but most likely coming off as one any way, I think your problem (no people at your event) is because:
1.) When you say, "I have a show in Santa Rosa" it comes off as vague. Santa Rosa is a big place. A clear location, with phone number, address and times would help me to plan to come to your event. Yes, yes. I see the address and date with time. But to the unhip Is Daredevils and Queens a place, a theater company, or something near Abercrombie & Fitch, or a gay bar? If you're performing, how many shows. If you're showing art, will the art be up tomorrow? That leads us to...
2.) A show: There are many types of shows to many people. Theater, art, craft, music. Your show is.... what? Oooh, yes I could look at the poster but your glowing endorsement of yourself makes me ask...
3.) Why should I come to your show? It sounds like you don't want to do it? Make it at least ))))sound (((( like it could be fun, with you in the center of that fun.
So.... There you go then. -

This is a bit rough though true in many respects.
It is helpful to manage all of the details in an event's post, though it can quickly become time-consuming in its attention to detail and prose.
I know: I have to communicate with clients and publish love-letter perfect copy for web sites and print on a daily basis.
It's hard to be an artist and also be a publicist / promoter. Unfortunately, the alternative is to lose viewers by not giving enough or sending confusing information as seems to be your criticism.
At least Richard is trying to get the word out which is better than most can do in our age of befuddling technified info morass.
