We have a special culinary/celebrity crossover in space and time. Our beloved Mr. Jimmy Slazas has organized an evening of delicious downtown dinning, drinking and dancing at a beautiful new spot known as EAST 3RD STEAKHOUSE. Jimmy is a wonderful friend to the ever hospitable owner, Jason Ha, and together they wish to welcome us all for an evening of culinary delights while the restaurant continues in its "soft opening". Jason has been feeding the hungry artists of downtown for quite some time now, and he has always been a generous supporter of the local creative energy. His restaurant is beautifully modern, yet warm and inviting. The food is a wonderful fusion of Korean, Japanese and traditional American cooking. And dont let the name fool you, whether you enjoy the carnivorous side of life or you choose tofu as your steak of choice, all will enjoy the menu in this exciting new space downtown in the arts district.
Now.... the fascinating side story to the entire evening is that the location, restaurant title and date all contain the number "3". A combination of three "3's" in an evening such as this guarantees each patron tremendous luck for a period of 24 hours and some form of out-of-body experience with Morgan Fairchild. Yes, I did say it, Morgan Fairchild was born on this very day, February 3, 1950. So, come one, come all as we gather with the finest of friends and foods to honor the opening of a unique restaurant and the 57th birthday of one truly sexy celebrity.
So here is what is being served up on platter for you:
An incredible prix fixe menu offering 5 courses
Your choice of a carnivorous or vegetarian menu
One bottle of wine or soju for a 4 person table
And as if you didn't just grab your fork already, DJ's Caparro and Wiseacre will be center stage dishing out oh-so-belly-feel-good beats all night.
The cost is $ 35 per person.
All dinners will be served family style at tables of 4-6. Seating will be from 8:00 to 10:00. For those who wish to attend but not dine, you are welcome to arrive for the late night cocktail party beginning at 11:00 where Morgan will be dancing her birthday away with the creative adventurer John Davis!
