O.L.C.P is evolving~ check it out!

One Love Conciousness Project is evolving quickly! Recently I have been deep in the creation of One Love Consciousness Project.

Today, One Love Consciousness Project has joined forces with a Non-profit , soon to get their 501C3 , Called "Ena Maka Foundation", which is Lakota for "Sacred Mother Foundation".
One Love Consciousness Projects focus is becoming more and more clear as I go along. The focus is near and this is real.

Ena Maka Foundation is a vessel for funds that will support projects that have a strong intent to nurture the Earth and to assist communities that have an Indigeous focus. Special attention is given to creative projects that honor and protect Mother's and children all over the world.

I am very honored and humbled by being apart of this organization.

So very soon I will be seeking to put a team together to get this show on the road.. If interested now, please send me a letter with what you believe is in your heart to say..

Long OverDue Update - Longing To Connect!

Family of Light, SoulMates, Mystical Devotees of Revolution:

After many months of visioning, reorganizing, traveling, adjusting to the inevitable changes life naturally brings, I am happy to reach out to everyone with a few words. It is with great excitement that I introduce you all to Tasi, a fellow revolutionary whom I met last summer at Dreamtime. We worked together to pull off a great event and in the aftermath, have chosen to acknowledge and fine-tune a chemistry based both in our very aligned business endeavors, as well as in partnership. His continued support throughout the last seasons has landed us in a position of incredible enthusiasm to see the next leg of the ‘Soul Mate Bar’ through.

It has been beautiful to reflect upon the dynamicism of space we created last summer at Dreamtime, and I have been deep in the caverns of my own heart coming up with the next stage of growth for this project. Some of you, I’ve spoken to very personally over the last 8 months, others of you have been in my thoughts and prayers, knowing our work together has only just begun. First of all, I would like to send out a huge thank you to anyone over the last two years that has been involved with the 'Soul Mate Bar' - it's been an exciting time of coming together, co-creating, and evolving as a crew - more importantly, a tribe. The individuals who have been involved in this project share a common charisma, devotion to spirit, and willingness to work as a team to manifest magic for our community.

One factor in the evolution with the 'Soul Mate Bar' has been the question of what our involvement with Dreamtime will be. After DT2006, Jen informed me that she was planning on hiring someone else to fill the role of manager for the mate bar. As sad as I was about that, I felt very secure in my own solo ability to run a traveling café. Considering the fact that Dreamtime was the birthplace of the ‘Soul Mate Bar,‘ it was difficult for me to think of a separation occurring from this organization. At the same time, I couldn’t imagine surrendering the managing role to someone else, after having such personal investment in the whole operation. I had always been very upfront with the directors of Dreamtime that I had strong plans of my own for taking the ‘Soul Mate Bar’ beyond the confines of one festival. At the end of last summer, my communication with the organization was minimal. I was cut off from my email account at dreamthefuture.org and denied the staff title I had been working for three years to secure. At this point, it seemed quite obvious that the ball was now in my court as far as what move would be next for the ‘Soul Mate Bar’. I began taking the steps to be an independent force, enthusiastically moving on with making contacts and creating a solid, independent platform to connect from in our community.

After the festival, I went back to Kansas City, Missouri, the town I grew up in, with a lot of ideas and a lot of prayer circulating through my heart, focused on the higher reasons behind what it is I wish to pursue with the ‘Soul Mate Bar’. While there, I coordinated and carried out an amazing event with my dear friend Oliver. We had live music, mate elixirs, communal food offering, and artistically stimulating activities available for the crowd of over 75 people throughout one evening. The first Midwest version of the ‘Soul Mate Bar’ lasted until almost 4 in the morning, and many people expressed that the vortex we created was one unlike anything that had occurred in Kansas City before. The 2008 kick off of the ‘Soul Mate Bar’ was a complete success, and I left for Boulder with many grand ideas for our next step.

You may remember our February goal of making it to Tucson for the Gem and Mineral Show. A series of strangely unfortunate events kept us from making that journey, though the fallout brought Tasi and I into a closer union with what we wish to do together through the vehicle of the 'Soul Mate Bar.' While in Boulder this past winter, we had the amazing opportunity to work with the Family Moons crew at the Core Movement Studio. We also set up with the Rhythmic Rites organizers and Buddha Bomb at the Mandala Center, as well as support our great friends Jata Clay and Daniel Cooper at their first public Kirtan performance. The family in Boulder has been enthusiastically supportive (as usual) and have certainly kept a certain energy of potential flowing through the heart of this collaborative vision.

One of the strange events which arose and has put a bit of a halt on our large-scale promotional endeavors has been confusion surrounding the creative rights to the name ’Soul Mate Bar.’ Due to the fact that Dreamtime no longer wishes to work with me, I felt it was very clear I had creative rights to a name I not only made up, but promoted as an eventual solo-operation from the moment I began working for them. Sharing my heart and artistic visions very trustingly with this organization I saw as both a supportive business and a friendship-based relationship has taught me an important lesson. Always cover your bases and do not assume you are seeing eye-to-eye simply because your boss is also your friend. At this point, Dreamtime is still referring to their mate bar as the ‘Soul Mate Bar,‘ though they’ve simultaneously expressed I am not welcomed back as the manager. This decision on their part is one I have released reaction to, other than that I am preparing to do all I can to secure rights to the name I have my heart and soul wrapped around, especially considering the fact that I have already begun the personal pursuit of evolving this into the business I always expressed I would. I will say clearly that the ‘Soul Mate Bar’ of Dreamtime is officially a different and unrelated entity to the ‘Soul Mate Bar and Lounge’ which I’ve been working on very hard for the last few years. I have no further involvement with the organization of Dreamtime on a business level though I will continue to evolve this project autonomously, with plans to work with many other events in the upcoming months and years. The copyrighting process is just one of the many reasons why the next part of this statement is of such importance. Please read on.

At the end of March, Tasi and I set off for another adventure - traveling to each of our hometowns to introduce our creative vision to our families as a unified force. We’ve sought artistic support and have been gratefully receiving feedback and productive advice on how to move forward with this project in a way that will serve the community and sustain us in our personal livelihood, as well as seeking the utmost protection for our creative idea. It has been a huge learning experience, very rewarding in many ways, and also very trying as we seek to implement a gift-based business endeavor into a largely capitalistic and profit-oriented culture.

The one factor we’ve repetitively met has been the issue of funding. My ideals of donation-based sustainability have been strong throughout this entire process, and while we’ve been blessed with the generosity of the community in many different ways, we have simultaneously been tested with the reality of coming up in the negative with almost every event we‘ve done. Though the mate we‘ve been using has been donated from an amazing company called Nativa, every other expense of the endeavors have come out of my pocket, and for someone trying to devote all her time to this project, my pocket is full of mate, but no money. There are many different reasons why it is necessary we have some financial security in this time, specifically, in securing the creative rights to our name.

Though I whole-heartedly believe in devoting myself to forging a new way of communal sustainability through creative collaboration, I have come up against an interesting reality, that some sort of capitol is needed no matter what, and it is not inherently a bad thing to focus on making money in conjunction with saving the world. Over the years, I‘ve implemented some creative and exciting ways to do this, self-publishing a book that, in selling, got me from Kansas City to California and fed me for almost two months. Today, I find myself yet again with enough material to create the next volume, but the cost of publication is more than I have to my name, so the project is on the backburner until I can practically move forward with it.

I have also worked at many different coffee shops in different towns, finding some great business owners who’ve been willing to accommodate my attempt to travel and spread the ’Soul Mate’ vision while remaining on the payroll and offering me very flexible hours. I have also been blessed with some amazing friends who have been willing to offer support in different ways, offering me places to stay and food, sharing their vehicles with me, and coming up with odd jobs along the way to get me to the next town. It has been such a rewarding experience to participate in the exchange beyond financial constraints, though I’ve reached a point where if I am to professionally move to the next level of the ‘Soul Mate’ vision, something more sustainable has to come through in my life to allow me the time and space to present viable promotional materials, as well as move from a grounded and healthy space as an individual.

It has been a bit baffling for me over the last few months, as I have reached a point of such clarity with what wants to happen in our tribe and what I have to offer in that pursuit, yet it is a constant question how I will obtain my next meal, without relying on the generosity of my family to get me through. I have morphed my life into complete, devoted trust that in moving forward selflessly, we will evolve to a space of working together to ensure everyone has what they need. However, in that goal, the sacrifices I’ve made on a personal level have left me exhausted and unable to know what to do next to best serve the highest good.

Now, what I do have is a lot of mate and a family of like-minded individuals ready to be on board with a cause that pushes support for our artistic counter-culture, trust in the spirit that guides all things, and devotion to revolution through creative defiance to a world based off of greed and corruption. I am prepared to spearhead a force of creators into the future to represent our generation of powerful transformers and community-driven light workers, though where I sit today, with so many projects itching to take root, there is something holding up the production. I know these quandaries have solid solutions, and the patience required is one of the largest factors in overcoming the stress, but I am at a point where I need some feedback.

The Soul Mate Bar and The Vible are just two aspects of this great revolution we are all together participating in. I feel the interest in seeing these projects evolve, and I am devoted to doing all I can to fully birth these creations into the physical, but the next step is going to involve a new level of support, where you as an individual feel the driving desire to collaborate, contribute, and promote our common goals. The crew has already begun formation, but now it is time we organize ourselves. Over the next few weeks, some of you will be getting personal contact from me to potentially fill very specific roles. There are many different aspects to the projects waiting to be birthed into the physical, and in order to succeed, we must enthusiastically work together.

Tasi and I, in business and life partnership are excited to announce our plan to settle in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the town I was born in and am blessed to have many supportive family members. The plan is to embrace stability in Minneapolis in hopes that it will bring us a grounding support network as we prepare to move forward this summer with the growth of the ‘Soul Mate Bar.’ I look forward to creating an office space to accommodate for the needed organization of materials, and begin the connection process in a community that will hopefully be fully capable of providing the publication resources we are at the stage of needing. First and foremost, we need to secure some type initial funding. Though we will both be acquiring jobs to establish some sort of income, any financial support you may be willing to send our way will greatly speed up our process of becoming a viable and professional working entity.

As stated before, all the generosity and support you have offered has been the life-blood carrying this vision into today, and if it weren’t for our community, we would not be where we are now. I am consistently inspired and reminded of the deeper purpose for doing any of this: To bring spiritual revolution and transformative communication to the forefront of all our interactions, to participate in creative exchange and encourage artistic evolution, and to serve each other in the highest good we deserve as divine creatures of the light. Calling All Poets, Artists, Lovers, Believers.

Alright folks… After a month or so of very intense transformative surrender, a certain conclusion has been reached. Not only are there many of us connected in this time who have revolutionary thoughts and ideas, we are getting stronger, older, and more intricately aware of just how much magic we have at the very tips of our own fingertips. We all love to talk about how we can crystallize our visions and share our healing with the whole family, not just those closest to us, but to reach out beyond borders and stereotypes to truly unify humans in this time. Now is when we are called into action, not after we finish paying off our student loans, not after we've received some flimsy piece of paper that certifies us to be of some specific worker-bee genre for the rest of our lives, not later down the line when the threat of running out of petroleum is more serious. What kind of action, you may be asking yourself… I say artistic, expressive action. Love-based, trusting action. Fearless, direct action towards standing up for what we believe our rights as a spiritual collective are. We are the prophets of this time, the leaders and the seers. We are the shamans of this tribe, and now is the time to speak clearly the desperate need for innovative approaches towards change and growth.

This is the idea - we've been tossing around the thought of creating a monthly or quarterly publication which will include art, poetry, prose by the prophets of this time. As I've been working on my next book of poetry, I keep reaching the same blockage. The blockage involves the fact that I'm working on the book alone, and I do not feel like I'm the only one right now with potent words to express, with a strong message of hope and love, of searching and surrendering, of healing and changing. I am feeling more and more like the way to go about sharing is through exchange, not just one-sided explosions of poetically desperate pleas for revolution, but reciprocal consistency that will call all of us into standing behind our belief that harmony and cohesion are a realistic possibility only when we open up to the gifts being offered within our own family.

While existing here today in the harsh and humid reality that is Kansas City, Missouri, I've reached my breaking point. I'm not interested any more in fantastical expressions that lack follow through. I am not interested in constantly sparking fires that go out as soon as people step away and back into their own personal pursuit of happiness. We are community, we are family, and we are the ones documenting the revolution in this time. All we need is an editor, and we could have an underground zine circulating across this country in a few months.

And so, here is my offering for the season of autumn. I will begin accepting submissions for 'The Vible' over the course of the next two months, in the form of typed words through the internet, as well as hard-copies sent through the mail. Anything you feel inspired to contribute will be welcome, although we will be selective for the sake of consistency and professionality. You will be notified of what has been accepted after December 9th, which is the deadline for submissions. There is no limit to what you may submit. If you are interested in being a significant participant of this endeavor, let me know, because there will be different roles needing to be filled, and the more involved in the creation, the more our collective expression will be manifested.

I feel called to get this started now because it's the only thing that makes sense for me as my heart and head reel here in the Midwest, festering and blessed like another strip mall selling all the same shit as the rest, another corporate crater dug where I used to play in the trees, and all my shining star-seeded revolutionaries are out trekking the great western side of our time-bomb waiting to explode disguised as a country. We do indeed have all the time we need, and we sure as hell better realize all that time is found in only one place -Right Now.

Thank you all for being so strong through all the fluctuant days leading us further and further into the truth of our truest self. I am honored continuously to work with all of you and believe we are indeed the torch-bearers gifted with a magical ability to follow-through with our own creations. Let us nurture the wings of The Vible so that she may fly us from galaxy to galaxy, representing the depth of our poetry, fueling each of us into a higher state of reality every time we choose to say yes to evolved expression, boundariless and expansive, courageous and dependable.

Happy Summer Solstice!!

I am so excited to announce this year's staff for the "Soul Mate Bar and Lounge." After receiving everyone's questionnaire, I have compiled a list of some of the most righteous dreamers in this country, all of whom have expressed interest throughout this year. Some of you are my friends, the rest of you are going to become my friends, but either way, we are all each other's soul mate! Along with this post, each of you will be receiving the shifts I have you down for as of right now. We have some time to alter the schedule if for some reason you are not okay with what I have you down for. I also understand some of you are performing and that we do not have a finalized program, therefore there may be some conflicts once other ends of the planning are complete. At this point, I just want to get as many details plugged in as possible. Anyone that is interested in coming out pre-event to help with the set up should let me know as soon as possible. You, as a member of the “Soul Mates” are welcome here on the site anytime after Saturday, July 14th. We will be having a mandatory pre-event training on Wednesday, July 18th at 7pm. If anyone is unable to make it out here by then, let me know and we will work with you to ensure you get the training you need to be a full power member of the team, although I am putting strong intention into the fact that all of you will be here that night. I would really like to have a ceremony in the presence of all of us, to solidify our vortex, our strength as a team, and to set off the bar as a cohesive collective.

The "Soul Mate Bar" is a very unique reality at the festival. No other operation involves this level of commitment, nor does any other operation give you the opportunity to make money during the event. The vision I have for us as a team is that we will be our own tribe, we will hold a space that sets us apart from the average festival participant. Every person in the festival comes into the "Soul Mate Bar," including the performers, all of whom will expect a certain level of professionalism from each of us. Along with that, they will be searching our eyes for the light that has put us behind the bar, working with the magical elements which are there to keep the family hydrated, healthy, and connected.

Thanks again to all of you for being alive in this time, being ready to share your light, and for rallying together to create the most evolved mate bar Dreamtime as ever seen.
