Register now! The www.southbayburners.org website is currently under construction, but it IS LIVE, and you can find out all the information about SoulFire, our camping decompression, at www.southbayburners.org/events.html . You can choose to arrive as early as 9am on Saturday, November 7th and stay through 6pm on Sunday, November 8th.

Fire permits have been obtained for burn barrels and ceremonial fire, so don’t worry about being cold … you can circle around the fire with your furry wardrobe and new playa honey to keep warm!

Art grants will be available for art installations and (stationary) art cars. If you want to bring sound or theme camps, or host an activity, send an email to southbay@burningman.com for placement. And yes, we’ll need greeters and rangers and LNT mavens, too, so volunteer to bring your finely honed playa talents to Lupin for decom!

SoulFire, the South Bay’s decompression, is turning into one major happening! We’ve got the art, the sound camps, fire, and yes, the community … when are you arriving? Gates open on Saturday at 9am. And new Sunday-only pricing has been announced!

Features of SoulFire include fantastic art to make you feel right at home, by:
          - Dan Das Man (an 8-foot tall creation by the artist behind Passage-Burning Man 2005 and Pier 39-San Francisco, Leaping Giants-Burning Man 2006, and the figures surrounding Crude Awakening-Burning Man 2007)
          - Esquire (Bubble Lounge, Center Camp 2009)
          - Sharkbite (Burning Man photographs displayed during SoulStance 2009)
          - Maricela Alvarez (photography and banners displayed in Entheon Village at Burning Man )
… plus yours if your bring it!! We do have room for stationary art cars or one more large-scale art installation. Email southbay@burningman.com if you've got something to contribute.

          The sound camps:
          - Music at the pool from 12-6 on Saturday and 12-5 on Sunday, featuring YrLttlePny, Edmundo, Dao, DJ Diagnosis and others

          Fire:
Burn barrels and unlimited wood to keep it burning all through the night and into the morning … don’t worry, the forecast doesn’t include any rain, and the days should be around 70 degrees! But yeah, you might want to bring your playa coat!

          Community:
We will have use of the NuDome 40-foot yurt, plus a 20-foot geodesic dome, to be filled with all the fluff you care to bring! Contribute to the chill space, or just pull up your sleeping bag and share it with friends. But most of all, bring your own sweet self to meet local burners from all over the bay area, reminisce about the playa, and plan for next year! Oh, and don’t forget to volunteer to help out when you arrive at the gate --- greeters and LNT recruits are especially welcome.

Special pricing for Sunday-only Lupin rates are available for $10. Don’t get left out … register now at www.southbayburners.org/events!!
