Re: I'm always on the wrong side of the camera :P
Sun, December 28, 2008 - 9:11 PM-nods- That is pretty darned cool man. I like the mix of staff and contact. I also liked the fire contact with the plank. Though I am curious id the clothing and gloves were for the cold, or merely what he (the contact juggler) uses when he does fire. -

Re: I'm always on the wrong side of the camera :P
Mon, December 29, 2008 - 12:50 AMThats Michael Glenn :P and it was sort of chilly that night but mostly he uses OV Gloves which are basically fingered gloves meant for ovens... that we use to sphereplay with.
So the gloves are Ov Gloves and the long sleeve is just a long sleeve... -

Re: I'm always on the wrong side of the camera :P
Tue, December 30, 2008 - 5:47 PMwhat kind of fuel do you use. ive tried fire contact with sleeves before, and the sleeves absorb the fuel, and then have little fire trails on them... i dont like fire trails on my arm...
suggestions? -

Re: I'm always on the wrong side of the camera :P
Tue, December 30, 2008 - 11:35 PMallow the ball to use up a bit of the fuel first. before rolling it around your body. also do a quick spin-off on it to reduce the amount of fuel that is just sitting on the surface. Other than that...try pre-soaking your sleeves with a bit of water first. If none of that helps...try a different hobby. :) as for fuel...standard fire performance mix is fine; or you can go straight white-gas
