Hey man, let's have some action on this tribe!
Do you have any idea how many people I decline from membership because they don't have practical experience in the Core Shamanic journeying method? A LOT. I've tried very hard to keep this tribe full of people who have a certain amount of similar experience so that the conversation can start at a more advance level.
No "how does a shaman prove his power" threads, no "which hallucinogen will get me closer to enlightenment" questions, no "what is a shaman and how do I become one" conversations...no moderation of every single post like the FSS does.
So....where are ya? I am SO curious as to why this tribe has not sparked by now.

Sat, January 19, 2008 - 10:48 AMhmmm ..
maybe it reflects the independant nature of the work ..
if i have questions or curiosities
i simply journey to explore into understanding ..
an online forum for such as we
must offer more than answers & questions ..
perhaps we could start collaborating on
knowledge gathered ..
like quilted maps & core values ..
or something in that direction ..
i persoanlly would like to connect with more
practitioners & the like ..
i live on quadra island & don't have a regular group .. -

Sat, January 19, 2008 - 10:59 AMin reflection on your reference to
the *other* shamanism tribe :
i followed the discussions for many months ..
& in all the drama
(which has it's essential role in this creation)
i was de:lighted to come across speakers
who obviously practiced core shamanism ..
these offerings were clear, poignant &
cleanly dissected the ego,
revealing the universal truths .. -

Sat, January 19, 2008 - 11:14 AMOh, I absolutely do enjoy the Shamanism tribe. It is very active. I met great people there.
It is different than what I was trying to make possible over here, though.
This could be a great place for people to talk about how to weave the community networks closer, as well. The spiderlinks.net website is growing but it sure could use people in different local areas to scout out circles and get them posted so more people could find them.
Or... perhaps the site would inspire someone to start a circle. Or those of us who are teaching could talk about what we learn from the spriits/classes about what can make us better teachers.
I do know that there is a great need for practitioners to connect but with spiderlinks.net and turtledrum.northwestceremonies.com, I don't have time to be the one to do it.
I was also hoping that people coming out of basic training would feel they could share their experiences here and compare notes on journeying - get some confusions addresses about the mechanics of it.. I give all my students this link and I think Lesle Conton does, too.
we NEED each other and not just in venues where we are paying money to be there!!! -

Mon, January 21, 2008 - 2:50 PMHi I think for me, this tribe seems a little bit too limiting in its membership.
I would suggest opening it up a bit.
I like the shamanism tribe for its controversial topics and wild bunch of members.
I feel this tribe is a little too subdued, not enough diversity for me to linger too long.
I will ponder the question a bit.
Peace, Julie

Re: Action
Mon, January 28, 2008 - 10:35 PMI admit I haven't been active for some time in this Tribe, but I do check in every so often. Now that life has calmed a little, i can get back to helping out, I hope.
I have been attending Lorelle's circle, though I live in Seattle and at some point would love to make it to Turtle Drum. Gotta make a drum at some point, speaking of...
Anyways!
I gab about my journeys a lot on my blog but I don't want to clutter up around here. What issues do you suggest we chat on? I've been pondering the same thing. Maybe journey ideas? Lorelle's circle has a few good ones. I know I've been asked to journey every day and you can't ALWAYS fill that with important stuffs.
Anyways, then, just sticking my nose in. By the way, I hope Lorelle got back to you about me :)
Peace you all,
Elo
