Well, there is the middle world and there is the land of the fey. I was taught to go to the land of the fey and ask for a guide, just like in the upper/lower, except that it's especially important to have a guide in the land o' fey as the rules are different and it's not all benevolent and such. The guides is of often not fey and can be a ....darnit I forgot the word..not doppelganger.... it's like another aspect of yourself. Ah! Co-walker. For me there is this cute guy that rides on a horse and brings an extra one for me. He takes me to visit these wild creatures. I don't eat or drink anything as I grew up on those tales. I'm glad that my buddy is around because they are kinda tricky. and wild.

I don't know about journeying to see them here. I mean, they're right here already so there's no where to go. I guess to go into trance in order to communicate, that would be good. The best way of communicating with the ones that live in my house has been by using the Froud Tarot Deck. They are pretty loud and clear there.

yeah... I don't think faeries hang out in the upper/lower worlds. They are earthly. I can get to their land through sparkly places, but I hear you can also by going across water or through mist or clanging music beneath hollows of trees. Oh trees. I could write a book about trees.
