stinky alfalfa

why oh why must my favorite sprout be the bane of my efforts? Just when I think things are going well, the whole thing turns and ends up smelling like a dirty sock.

Could it be I have a bad batch of seeds? I never used to have a problem sprouting beautiful alfalfa sprouts.

Best Sprouts

My favorite sprouts right now are the black lentils sprouts, they are also called beluga lentils for their resemblance of beluga caviar...
They are really fast growers, very inexpensive, and have a very high protein content. They also contain a fair amount of vitamin b17 which according to the book: a world without cancer is the cure for cancer.
Second is the magical alfa alfa, the fastest grower of all and third I would say it is red soy beans...
I also recommend highly chick peas sprouts, they are a bit slow but they make up for it in taste, they are wonderful to make hummus, and if people do not like the raw flavor because of it being a bit sour they are good cooked with a little bit of ghee.
Small black beans sprouts are very nice too.
We were not very successful yet with flax and quinoa but we will keep experimenting...
There are tons of others wonderful sprouts and it would be nice to learn more tricks to increase production, quality of the sprouts, and recipes too...
